The seasonal Haunting event returns and has filled the game with exclusive rewards and jump scares. Verdansk and Rebirth Island have now plunged into darkness, and standout additions include the return of Zombie Royale and the introduction of Casual Z with AI zombie.

Here’s a complete rundown of Call of Duty Warzone season six patch notes. If you are a regular BO6 player, you might as well check the patch notes for multiplayer and Zombies, too.

Verdansk Night and Haunting map variants

With the season six update, both Verdansk and Rebirth Island now feature night variants with reduced visibility. You must navigate carefully as threats can appear at any moment and from any corner, making communication and scouting crucial for survival.

This shift brings an aesthetic overhaul but also increases tension, as jump scares become common, especially when opening loot crates during the Haunting event.

Casual Z and Zombie Royale game modes

Casual Z is the new LTM introduced with the season six patch. It involves AI zombies and is set on the night versions of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Here, squads must battle both enemy operators and hordes of regular and armored zombies who now roam the maps, hunting down players.

Though these zombies lack the supernatural abilities found in Zombie Royale, their strength lies in overwhelming numbers. Like its standard version, stats progression in Casual Z is limited, and matches do not impact Resurgence Ranked eligibility.

Zombie Royale returns as well. In this mode, fallen operators get resurrected as the undead and gain new abilities like “Mimic,” which lets zombies disguise themselves as items, and “EMP Blast,” an area-of-effect attack that disables vehicles, equipment, and HUDs while stunning enemies.

The Mutant Injection killstreak now grants powerful, evolving transformations throughout the season. Additionally, portals placed around the map drastically alter movement. For players, they mean redeployment, while for zombies, they instantly transport them to unsuspecting players.

New weapons and adjustments

The Dresden 9mm SMG and Merrick 556 assault rifle are the new weapons this season. The SMG has a rapid rate of fire, while the AR has long-range accuracy and flexible fire modes. The Chainsaw and X52 Resonator melee weapon options add some spice to the loadouts.
