Call of Duty Black Ops 6 season six, titled “The Haunting,” is out and is here to deliver one of the biggest and most creative updates ever.

This patch introduces three new multiplayer maps, four new weapons, fresh operator skins, and event rewards, including horror icons like Chucky, Jason, and Predator. You can jump into the limited-time Slasher Deathmatch mode and try the Haunted Havoc Zombies update, packed with faster enemies, special challenges, and unique battle pass drops.

This comes at the right time as a new Black Ops 6 free trial lets you experience the full campaign for the first time. With that said, here’s a complete rundown of the BO6 season six patch notes.

New multiplayer maps and variants

The update introduces three new multiplayer maps: Gravity, Rig, and Mothball. The Gravity map stands out for its futuristic, vertical combat spaces and low-gravity room, while Rig introduces environmental hazards that favor aggressive playstyles. Mothball offers 2v2 and 6v6 matches with a maze-like facility that rewards players for utilizing its corners.

Nuketown also gets a Halloween makeover as “Boo-town,” filled with skeletons, pumpkins, and haunted house decorations to suit the spooky season.

New weapons

We have some new weapons, such as the Dresden 9mm SMG, which comes with a rapid rate of fire and smooth handling. The Merrick 556 assault rifle stands out for its long-range accuracy and flexible fire modes.

The special Chainsaw melee weapon and X52 Resonator add even more loadout options for close-range and unique combat experiences. The GPR91 Double-Barrel Conversion is a new weapon attachment that you can earn from the event, and it allows the weapon to fire two bullets at once, but at a slightly reduced rate of fire and with higher recoil. The GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster got buffed this patch.

New Zombies LTM and event rewards

Haunted Havoc is the new Zombies limited-time mode. The Zombies are faster here and pumpkin-headed, and they bring new challenges with larger reward pools for high scores and leaderboard positions.

You can also earn more rewards during The Haunting event. It includes the X52 Resonator Special Weapon, the GPMG-7 LMG Muzzle Booster Attachment, “Arty Incineratio” Finishing Move, “Blast Burn” Calling Card, “Cool Helm” Weapon Charm, and a large decal, simply by completing challenges. Once the event is over, you unlock the Animated “Toxic Metal” weapon camo.
