How to get all Wolfsbane catalysts in Destiny 2

Time for some upgrades.

Wolfsbane is one of the most unique Exotics in Destiny 2. While classified as a sword, Wolfsbane is an axe that feels like a relic from seasonal activities. On par with looking incredible, this axe also deals respectable damage, especially with catalysts.

Before going after catalysts, you must complete the Heliostat Exotic mission to get Wolfsbane itself. This unlocks regular difficulties for the activity in the Portal, and catalysts are only available on Master difficulty or above. At the time of writing, only the Attrition Orbs catalyst is available. The rest will likely unlock with each weekly reset.

Here’s how to unlock all catalysts for the Wolfsbane Exotic in Destiny 2.

To get the Attrition Orbs catalyst, you need to pick up a data pad at the beginning of the mission. Call the first Psion and go inside the building. Go down the first set of stairs, and as you go through the door, look for the data pad behind it on the right. Take the data pad to the terminal next to the second Psion.

After interacting with the terminal, finish the mission as usual, and you’ll get the Attrition Orbs catalyst from the final chest. The data pad steps carry over regardless of whether you’ve completed the mission or not, so you can always leave it until all the catalysts are available.

The second catalyst is right after you drop down the shaft with the electric fields. At the bottom, there’s now a place to call in a hacking Psion. Call the Psion in and assign them to the left terminal to disable the electric barriers. Then, go to the right terminal and interact with the rightmost screen.

Jump on the elevator and wait until it takes you to the top room inside the shaft (don’t mind if you take damage along the way). In the room, there’s a data pad on the table. Pick it up and drop back down to the terminals.

To deliver the data pad, interact with the left screen to bring the elevator back down, then with the middle screen to go up to the second room in the shaft. Inside, there’s a terminal where you can insert the data pad and get some dialogue.

The third catalyst is in the next room with the blue facility. Clear the enemies in the area and head on top of the roof to find the data pad under the bridge on the far side. Collect the pad and complete the hacking encounter as usual.

After collecting the chest, you need to interact with three green terminals (all three are easy to see when standing at the top of the blue facility’s roof).

Here’s where to find the terminals:

  1. On the path to the main entrance from where you came, after collecting the previous catalyst.
  2. On the right pillar on the right side of the room. Use the elevator leading to the jumping section to reach it.
  3. On the left pillar on the left side of the room. There’s a ledge that goes around the pillar, leading to the terminal.

Head back to the main room and complete the hacking encounter again (no enemies this time), the same way as you did before. This opens a diamond door in the floor where you can find a terminal to deposit the data pad.

The last catalyst is in the section with radiation generators. Start with the left side and do it as usual until you reach the glass hallway. Inside the hallway, on the right side near the radiation generator, there’s a hole in the floor with a data pad.

Pick it up and take it to the glass hallway on the opposite side. At the end of the other hallway, there’s a small room with the terminal to deposit the data pad. After that, all you have to do is beat the final boss as usual, and you’ll get catalysts from the final chest.
