Burden of Guilt god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

Fusion rifles are a potent tool in both Destiny 2‘s PvE and PvP environments. They deal respectable damage and have decent range. Stasis fusions, like Burden of Guilt, also provide strong anti-Champion capabilities with elemental perks.

Burden of Guilt is an Adaptive Frame Stasis fusion rifle from Trials of Osiris that came back to the game with The Edge of Fate. This means you can now get a Tier 5 version of the weapon with multiple perks in each column, including some of the new additions to the sandbox.

Burden of Guilt is a great example of a weapon with a build for everyone. In PvE, a good generalist roll is Ambitious Assassin with Chill Clip. Ambitious Assassin overfills the magazine up to 150 percent based on the number of kills before reloading, and Chill Clip applies slow while above 50 percent of the magazine.

For raw damage, you can go with Controlled Burst in the fourth column. It may not be as good as it is on Rapid-Fire fusions, like Scatter Signal, but it’s still a 20 percent damage increase and shorter charge time. Controlled Burst, paired with Envious Arsenal, can be a fine addition to your damage rotation.

A fun roll is Rimestealer with Crystalline Corpsebloom. Rimestealer grants a stack of Frost Armor when defeating a frozen target or shattering a Stasis crystal, and you’ll be creating a lot of crystals with Crystalline Corpsebloom, which spawns a Stasis crystal when rapidly killing enemies.

In PvP, Burden of Guilt leans more into range, because Rapid-Fire fusion rifles can outperform it up close. Under Pressure grants stability and accuracy as the magazine gets lower, and in Crucible, the Special weapon’s magazine is always low. You can pair it with Closing Time, which grants up to 10 range as well as extra handling and accuracy, depending on how low your mag is.

Other good perks include Lone Wolf in the third column, which grants 5 aim assistance at base, increasing to 10 when no allies are nearby.

How to get Burden of Guilt in Destiny 2

Burden of Guilt drops from Trials of Osiris PvP mode when it’s around from Friday to Tuesday. Every Trials weekend has a featured weapon with increased drop rates, so it might be worth waiting until Burden of Guilt becomes one to farm it.

There’s no more Engram focusing in Trials of Osiris, so you need to rely on RNG to get it as a post-match reward or from the Lighthouse chest. The higher your win streak, the better the rewards from the Lighthouse chest, including Tier 5 drops if your Power is high enough.
