Fishing makes perfect sense in the game and i have always wondered why it was not available. It doesnt have to be a make or break feature uts just another option in an open world. When it comes to water being to contaminated for food sources since when does that matter? You can cook and eat radroaches, radrats, radtoads, deathclaws, grow food in contaminated soil which draws water from contaminated rain and ground water. There could be some neat perks added, in both the figurative and perk card sense, maybe magnet fishing to pull up some junk or a safe or some other treasure, maybe hook on to some unexpected mirelurk queen that ambushs you or some rare fish that gives special buffs when cooked? I dunno it just seems like a neat addition that should have been part of the game in the beginning for no other reason than because you can. If I can have 50 different versions of a couch for my camp i think adding fishing has value
