Colossal waste of money. $700+$80 for a disc drive (add in the cost of PS+) and you are looking at about a grand after taxes/shipping. At that price point the Cost to performance argument consoles had is gone. You would be further ahead just going with PC. Some will say well PC is digital only. Sure, but you also get far more regular sales/deals. You don't have to pay to play demos or to play online. And you will end up with a system that will outlast the console and you can then upgrade as needed. You don't then have to shell out another $500-700 for a plastic box. All the PS games are coming to PC anyway.
