I'd like to believe Naruto is in his "Death of Superman" phase. Hopefully, he gets his "Return of Superman" phase at some point later in Boruto TBV. I'm not saying he'll be the strongest, but he'll get his legendary "Hero's Comeback" by the end.

Hopefully, we'll get more adventures with Naruto after Boruto ends. One way or another. I'm hoping for an actual Naruto Part 3 and/or reboot(not remake).

This is similar to how the DB franchise hit the rewind button after GT that inevitably led to Super. The Naruto franchise has objectively written itself to a dead end, and the only way "forward" will require a rewind or a reset after Boruto.

That's why I equated Boruto to GT because in the long run Boruto will have to be pushed to the side one way or another for the NARUTO franchise to have a future.

DB as a whole is in a rough state due to mismanagement of rights and licensing. Which has been an ongoing battle since AT passed away.

1. Boruto ending isn't the end for NARUTO.

2. The franchise is more than likely(all but guaranteed) to shift the focus back to Naruto one way or another after Boruto ends.

NARUTO as a whole is extremely profitable and between Naruto and Boruto, Naruto 'laps" multiple times in terms of success/profit.

Also, Kishimoto has already expressed interest in doing more Naruto back in August 2024.

Will Whether GT is canon or not is irrelevant. The point I'm making is the willingness to go backwards when there's no way forward. Boruto is a deadend, both in powerscaling and in business. There can be no sequel set after the events of Boruto. What could possibly be a challenge for Boruto and/or Naruto after TBV? If after 10 years, Boruto has yet to reach a quarter of Naruto's success, what reason is there to believe another sequel that's a follow-up after Boruto's generation is going to be half as successful as Boruto. The franchise has no future without going backwards one way or another.

Also, Super has done more for DB, than GT ever did for DB. Super has brought more success to DB than GT ever did. Your critique of Super being a drop in quality is extremely debatably and ignores the ongoing battle for the rights and licensing of DB since AT passing.

Naruto eventually has to force Kurama into submission before Kurama eventually agreed to willingly work with Naruto. Naruto TRAINED to aquire Toad Sage Mode. Toad Sage Mode has absolutely nothing to do with Hashirama's unique version of Sage Mode. Naruto had to train to aquire the Rasengan. Naruto had to train to create the Rasenshuriken. The only thing Naruto was given was Six Paths Sage Senjutsu. Which didn't happen until the War Arc, aka the end of the series.

The Boruto series started off on the legacy of the NARUTO franchise. Boruto never competed with Naruto due to the fact that Boruto is part of the NARUTO franchise. Boruto never had to compete because it was guaranteed survival due to being part of NARUTO.
