This article contains spoilers from the Naruto series.
When it comes to the powerful ninjas that exist in the world of Naruto, fans know that the Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki reigns supreme at the very top. Naruto is the protagonist of the original series, and his journey from being a rather weak individual to conquering all his weaknesses and becoming the strongest is truly admirable. By the end of the Naruto series, Naruto Uzumaki is quite clearly one of the strongest in the entire world, with only a handful of godly beings ranking above him, such as Kaguya and Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
Boruto: Best Fights In The Anime, Ranked
The Boruto series is laced with riveting battles and thrilling fights. Here's a look at some of the best ones in the anime.
When it comes to the shinobi kind, Naruto is quite clearly the strongest, with Sasuke being his only rival, but still inferior to him. Years later, Naruto ended up becoming the Seventh Hokage of the village, and by this time, he was at the peak of his powers. It was preposterous for fans to even assume that a single ninja could ever come close to replacing him in terms of power. However, as things have developed in the Boruto series, the Seventh Hokage has been surpassed by many, and based on Kishimoto's own storytelling, it is quite clear that a handful of ninjas are actually above this level of strength.
Naruto Uzumaki Lost All His Powers In The Boruto Series
- Naruto Lost His Powers After The Death Of Kurama
- His Six Paths Powers Aren't Accessible Anymore
To put it simply, Naruto Uzumaki wasn't surpassed by any ninja that simply came and reached an even higher level of strength than Six Paths Sage Mode or Baryon Mode. That is impossible for anyone to achieve from the shinobi kind. The authors of the series realized this as well, and that is precisely why they went about it in a completely different way. Instead of giving major power-ups to other ninjas and making them stronger than Naruto in the Boruto series, they decided to nerf Naruto instead.
The biggest loss for Naruto came in the battle against Isshiki. It was in this battle that Naruto utilized a new power called Baryon Mode, which gave him enough strength to overwhelm this mighty Otsutsuki. However, this strength came at a huge price, and that's the life of Kurama.
You be good, Naruto. And try not to follow me too soon. — Kurama to Naruto Uzumaki
After the conclusion of the battle, Kurama ended up dying, and Naruto was left far weaker than ever before. It seems that his connection to the other Tailed Beasts also shattered immediately after the death of the Tailed Beast, and even though he received Six Paths powers from the Sage of Six Paths, which should have stood in regardless of his connection to the Tailed Beast, he seems to have lost those powers as well.
Following this major loss of power, Naruto Uzumaki, despite still being the Seventh Hokage, was left far weaker than ever before. As such, it became much easier for other ninjas to surpass him in terms of strength, and when it comes to the legendary ones, it is quite clear to see that some of them are now stronger than he is.
Right Now, Hashirama Senju Could Be Stronger Than Naruto Uzumaki
- Hashirama Has Powerful Sage Mode And Wood Release
- His Overall Power Could Be Higher Than Naruto
When it comes to the legendary ninjas of the world, it is quite clear that Hashirama Senju would be stronger than Naruto right now. For one, Hashirama is a member of the Senju clan, and his vitality is on a completely different level from Naruto's. Naruto's vitality was greatly boosted by the fact that he held Kurama's chakra in his body. Now that he has lost Kurama's powers, Naruto probably has less chakra than Hashirama, and that is canonically supported by the Fourth Great Ninja War, where Hashirama was said to have even greater chakra than Naruto when he had Kurama.
The First Hokage was a legendary ninja known as the God of Shinobi. — Iruka Umino on Hashirama Senju
On top of that, Hashirama Senju has access to one of the most coveted Kekkei Genkai, Wood Release. Wood Release made him incredibly powerful, allowing him to control the terrain, as well as subdue even the likes of the Tailed Beasts. It even allowed him to subdue the Ten-Tails to a certain degree in the Fourth Great Ninja War, and that was when he was not at full strength. Naruto Uzumaki does not possess any such Kekkei Genkai, and all he has access to is his Sage Mode.
Naruto's Sage Mode Pales In Comparison To Hashirama's
Of course, it can be said that both Naruto and Hashirama's biggest strength is Sage Mode, when not taking into consideration Kurama's powers. However, Hashirama's Sage Mode is likely superior to that of Naruto. The fact is that Hashirama enters Sage Mode instantaneously, and it lasts longer in his case. While Naruto also enters it immediately, especially now, as an adult, he still needs to use Shadow Clone to maintain it for a longer period of time.
More than that, fans know for a fact that Hashirama's Sage Mode directly complements his Wood Release, and he's able to create newer jutsu, such as the Shinsusenju, the likes of which can dwarf entire cities with ease.
Naruto: Kishimoto Officially Confirms Characters Stronger Than The God Of Shinobi
Hashirama, the God of Shinobi, is powerful. These Naruto characters have, however, surpassed him.
As far as Naruto is concerned, he can only buff himself up greatly with Sage Mode, but he doesn't have a Kekkei Genkai like Hashirama that can be boosted to sky-high levels. What's even crazier is that Hashirama had a vitality level so high that he practically regenerated from all injuries that he received without even forming hand seals. This is what truly made Hashirama a special ninja.
Naruto, on the other hand, could heal thanks to Kurama's chakra, but now that Kurama is not available to him anymore, he can't heal from any deadly injuries that he receives. At this particular point in the story, it is quite clear that Naruto is not the strongest Hokage anymore, and that Hashirama Senju would stand above him.
Naruto Desperately Needs New Power Ups
It is quite clear for the fans to see that Naruto Uzumaki desperately needs new power-ups if his legacy is to be preserved in the Boruto series. The fact that other Hokage are now stronger than him is truly disgraceful, especially since Naruto earned his powers fair and square and actually went through countless hardships to achieve them.
The Boruto series needs to bring back Naruto Uzumaki as soon as possible. When it does, it needs to make sure that Naruto has powers worthy of his stature and that he is made one of the strongest. Unfortunately, the damage that Boruto has done cannot be undone, but it can still do much better when it comes to dealing with the old legends of the Naruto world, such as Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha.
