How to complete the Mistress of the Dark challenge in BitLife

This week’s BitLife challenge tasks players with becoming the spooky Mistress of the Dark, just in time for Halloween in October. This latest challenge has a few simple requirements that, if fulfilled, can get you an exclusive BitLife cosmetic.

How to complete the Mistress of the Dark challenge in BitLife

The Mistress of the Dark challenge has five objectives to complete to unlock a cosmetic reward:

• Be born a female.
• Own a haunted mansion in Massachusetts.
• Own a poodle named Algonquin.
• Survive a paranormal attack.
• Summon two or more ghosts.

Be born female

The easiest requirements are always the first. This objective is to be born female, and as you will also want to buy a house in Massachusetts, you might as well be born there, too. Select the U.S.A. as your country of birth, and Boston as the city, as it is in Massachusetts.

Age up through school until you get to university, make sure you study something like Accounting, so you can get a well-paid job when leaving uni. This way, you should find it easier to buy a haunted mansion.

Own a haunted mansion in Massachusetts

After a few years working and saving up at least $200K, you should have enough for a mortgage. If you would rather buy the haunted mansion outright, then you’ll have to age up some more or make some quick bucks another way.

Try starting an OnlyFans account and selling everything your fans gift you, work hard to gain promotions and pay rises at work, and make some wise investments. Eventually, you should have at least $1.2million saved for the haunted mansion.

Check the realtor listings by going to Activities, then Shopping, and look through the listings in each of the realtor’s companies. You may have to age up or refresh the listings several times before you see a Haunted Mansion on the list. As soon as it pops up, purchase it to get this objective done.

Own a poodle named Algonquin

Adopting a dog is easy, but this objective is quite specific. Go to Activities > Pets > Dog Breeder and find a Poodle. If there isn’t a poodle there, go to the Pet Store section instead. You will want to avoid the Toy Poodle choice, as this will not count.

Adopt the dog, and when prompted, rename it “Algonquin” to complete the challenge objective.

Survive a paranormal attack

Since you now live in a haunted mansion, you will have strange and spooky things happening around you. This part will generally happen naturally as you age up, but if you want to guarantee a paranormal attack, then choose to summon a ghost using the Spirits option in the Assets > Property menu.

Keep bothering the ghosts until something happens to you, and hope you survive it! If you don’t, you can always start again or use the Time Machine to travel back a few years.

Summon two or more ghosts

If your haunted mansion only has one ghost, you will want to buy another haunted property to summon multiple ghosts. This will also help with completing the ‘Survive a paranormal attack’ objective as it increases the odds of being violently haunted.

To summon a ghost, go to your Assets > Property > Ghosts > Summon. Do this at least twice to two different ghosts.
