The first two characters in the limited banner of Zenless Zone Zero consist of Attack Agents. The first one is Ellen, an Ice unit from the Victoria Housekeeping, while the second is Zhu Yuan, an Ether character from the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team.

ZZZ has a system where characters unlock an Additional Ability if the squad includes Agents with the same Attribute or from the same faction. While this limits the available Zenless Zone Zero team comps to some degree, it also makes it easier to determine who can work with whom. Here's an idea of what you need to have in Zhu Yuan team comp in ZZZ.

Unlike most characters whose Additional Ability unlocks when the squad consists of someone with the same Attribute or Faction, Zhu Yuan's Additional Ability activates when there's a support character or someone from the same faction. So, even though there are only two Ether characters in Zenless Zone Zero 1.0, Zhu Yuan can rely on other support Agents to open her Additional Ability, which grants her a whopping 30% Crit Rate. Zhu Yuan also gains extra DMG against Stunned enemies from her Core Skill, which makes placing a Stun character in her team a must.

In conclusion, Zhu Yuan's team comp in ZZZ should include one support and one Stun. Here are some viable characters for the role:

Support

  • Nicole
  • Rina
  • Soukaku
  • Lucy

Stun

  • Anby
  • Lycaon
  • Koleda

Players can play either of these teams, all of which will unlock everyone's Additional Ability:

  • Zhu Yuan + Anby + Nicole
  • Zhu Yuan + Lycaon + Rina
  • Zhu Yuan + Lycaon + Soukaku
  • Zhu Yuan + Koleda + Lucy

For the team’s rotation, start with the Stun unit and deal enough Daze DMG to stun enemies and trigger the Chain Attacks. Once Chain Attacks are activated, switch to the support and unleash their buff/debuff. After doing so, now is the perfect opportunity for Zhu Yuan to take the field and showcase her high and stable DMG.
