Zhu Yuan Release Date In ZZZ

The story of Zenless Zone Zero revolves around an apocalyptic catastrophe called the Hollows. This Hollow can create a corruption that turns people into Ethereal monsters. The original Eridu turns into ruins due to this catastrophe, but then, New Eridu emerges from those who survived the apocalypse. Now, New Eridu has even found a way to extract resources from the Hollows, allowing them to thrive and industrialize themselves.

Due to the monetization of Ether from the Hollows, bad people who try to benefit from it start to emerge, including gangs and fanatics. Therefore, it's only natural that the city administration has an organization called New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S) to maintain order in the land. Among the many sections of the N.E.P.S is the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, led by a captain named Zhu Yuan in ZZZ.

Zhu Yuan Release Date In ZZZ - Zenless Zone Zero

Zhu Yuan's release date in ZZZ is July 24, 2024, three weeks after the release of Zenless Zone Zero on July 4, 2024. Her Signal Search banner will last until the end of version 1.0, on August 13, 2024.

Zhu Yuan is set to be an Ether-Attack character who hails from the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team faction of the New Eridu Public Security. Not only is she a part of the group, but she's also the team leader of the squad, making her a prominent figure in the Public Security team. This makes Zhu Yuan the second Ether Agent in the game, with Nicole being the first.

Zhu Yuan's banner in ZZZ will feature Nicole (Ether-Support) and Ben (Fire-Defense) as the featured 4-star characters. Nicole will likely work as Zhu Yuan's best pair in her ZZZ team composition due to Nicole's ability to buff Ether and reduce the enemy's DEF. As for Ben, he doesn't synergize with Zhu Yuan or Nicole, but he's a useful support if Zhu Yuan's team includes either a Fire unit or someone from the Belobog Heavy Industries faction.

In the beta version, Zhu Yuan was marked as a Pierce character. The Pierce/Slash/Strike categorization is no longer used as it's replaced by character specialty (Attack/Anomaly/Defense/Stun/Support), but it can still be seen on the Agent's profile. This attack type category is still a little relevant due to a Bangboo with an ability that activates if the team includes a Pierce character in it.
