How To Obtain Z-Merits in Zenless Zone Zero
Z-Merits and Investigation Merits are obtained through different end-game modes. Z-Merits are generally earned by completing Bounty Commissions in Hollow Zero, particularly by achieving a set of additional missions through the S-Rank bounty. The difficulty of completing these tasks will depend on the challenge conditions and the player's current progression. Typically, players will need to complete Hollow Zero at a certain difficulty or above for it to count towards the goal. It is recommended that players strive to complete 4/4 of the S-Rank bounties, even if they have reached the maximum investigation points, to claim the full rewards. Other commissions can also provide useful resources like Boopoons, but they do not offer Z-Merits.
Within Hollow Zero, players can also get a little amount of Z-Merits by unlocking certain reward areas by completing the previous floor with S-Rank.

Investigation Merits on the other hand are earned by completing various high-level activities across different modes, such as Notorious Hunt and Shiyu Defense. In Shiyu Defense, players earn Investigation Merits by achieving S-Rank on each Frontier. To collect all rewards, players should ensure they have two well-geared teams to clear the higher Frontiers (starting from level 7) with an S rank.

When clicking on these currencies, players will notice that they can be used in the Outpost Logistics and Association Supplies shops, respectively. But don't forget, there's also spatial disorder, monsters and mutants running rampant, and ultimately, a disaster that could swallow the world. They are not a place where ordinary people should go.
So don't go into Hollows.
Or at least, don't go in alone.
