Skill Enhancement Chips are Ascension and level-up items in Zenless Zone Zero. Without them, you can’t improve your Agents’ combat stats, which can result in a weak, below-average squad. This guide explains how these chips function and provides straightforward instructions on how to obtain them. Here’s everything you need to know about Skill Enhancement Materials in Zenless Zone Zero.
Zenless Zone Zero: All EXP Materials (& How to Get Them)
You need EXP Materials to level up your Agents, Bagnboos, W-Engines, and Drive Discs in Zenless Zone Zero; here's how to get them.
Skill Enhancement In Zenless Zone Zero, Explained
Skill Enhancement improves an Agent’s five core combat mechanics: Dodge, Assist, Basic Attack, Special Attack, and Chain Attack. In Zenless Zone Zero, each Agent can enhance their skills by 12 levels using a specific Ascension Material called “Skill Enhancement Chip.” These chips must match the Agent’s Attribute, which can be Ice, Electric, Ether, Fire, or Physical.
Agents also have specific Core Skill Enhancements that enhance their combat stats further. However, you unlock these buffs once an Agent reaches level 15. To unlock them, you need to pay Dennies, not Skill Enhancement Chips.
How To Get Every Skill Enhancement Material In ZZZ
The most effective method to acquire Skill Enhancement Materials is by engaging in the Agent Skill game mode of the Combat Simulation at the HIA center. Here, you'll spend Battery Charge to complete missions and earn Ascension Items. Additionally, you can use Ether Batteries or Polychromes to sustain your farming efforts.
Another way to farm Skill Enhancement Materials is through crafting or dismantling items. By using low-tier Skill Enhancement items (Basic and Advanced versions), you can obtain higher-tier Specialized components. Conversely, dismantling Specialized and Advanced items can yield low-tier components. For instance, dismantling a Specialized Chip could yield three Advanced ones.
All Skill Enhancement Materials In Zenless Zone Zero
There are fifteen Skill Enhancement Materials in the game, divided into three groups: Basic, Advanced, and Specialized. Each category grants increasing amounts of EXP, with the Specialized versions being the most valuable.
