Hoyoverse’s urban RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, incorporates a new style of gameplay. With inspiration from games like Persona 5, Zenless Zone Zero adds an element that makes it more interactive for players. Despite the base color schemes and wardrobe, players can enhance their journey through the use of exclusive skins. Exclusive Skins are special effects that players can trigger to change characters' classic color schemes. This guide will explain how players can activate it and what items you need for it.

How To Get Exclusive Skin Effects In Zenless Zone Zero
The Exclusive Skin Effects are only possible when you attach designated W-Engines to your Agents. Most of the ZZZ Agents have W-Engines that match their looks and also work better with their kit. Once you have them, equip them to your Agents and just toggle on the button at the bottom of the W-Engine. This is the switch that will activate the Exclusive Skin Effect.
Players should, however, keep in mind that these Exclusive Skin Effects are not a permanent thing. They can only be triggered during Special Attacks — and even at that moment, they are extremely rare and hard to spot. For some characters, they produce subtle differences, like when Lucy or Nicole’s hair glows during special attacks.
As of right now, only hair color changes seem to be the biggest noticeable attribute. In the above, notice how Lucy's hair glows bright pink when using the exclusive skin effect.

Players should keep in mind that these special effects are not triggered through Basic Attacks. You’ll need to keep an eye out for them during their Ultimate attacks or Chain attacks with perfect assists. They can also occasionally be triggered through Special attacks as well.
