Ether Batteries are one such rare item in Zenless Zone Zero that you don’t get your hands on until you’re deep in the campaign. But don’t worry. Despite their rarity, Ether Batteries are not locked behind a paywall, and free-to-play players can collect them with some effort. What Are Ether Batteries?

Ether Battery is a stamina-refill item that helps replenish Battery Charge. Each Ether Battery is capable of recharging the main Battery by 60 points. In Zenless Zone Zero, you need the Battery Charge to continue accepting Commissions or attending Hollow Zero missions. This stamina gauge regenerates on its own at a slow pace. However, Ether Batteries allow you to fill it up as often as you wish.

There’s another item in the game known as Ether Electrolyte. You should note that despite the similarity in the title, these two collectibles are completely different. Ether Battery charges your stamina while Ether Electrolyte increases a Bangboo’s level cap.

How to Get Ether Batteries

Ether Battery is a scarce resource in Zenless Zone Zero that can only be obtained thorough Inter-Knot level-up and New Eridu City Fund rewards.

Collect Inter-Knot Rank-Up Rewards

Starting at Inter-Knot level 15, you will receive a few Ether Batteries as a rank-up reward. Of course, such rewards are not frequent and take a lot of time to unlock—as the entire process of Inter-Knot rank-up is relatively slow.

Unlock Battle Pass Rewards

Zenless Zone Zero’s Battle Pass is called New Eridu City Fund. Free-to-play players can earn up to six Ether Batteries by reaching Level 25 in the Battle Pass progression. Premium Battle Pass (Growth Plan) owners can earn an additional six Ether Batteries for a total of 12 at Level 25.

Battle Pass unlocks once you reach Level 10 on your Inter-Knot progression.

How to Use Ether Batteries

From the Me Menu, go to your Storage and select the Key Item tab. If you own an Ether Battery, it will show up here. You only need to tap “Use” to exchange it for Battery Charge points. You could also tap the Battery Charge icon at the top of the screen to consume your Ether Batteries.

Generally, waiting for the Battery Charge to refill on its own is the best option, as Ether Battery is a rare collectible. However, if you really need to fill the battery up, it’s best to go with Ether Batteries rather than Polychromes. Remember, you need Polychromes for the gacha aspects of Zenless Zone Zero.
