Zenless Zone Zero has officially revealed the details for its first major update entitled "Undercover R&B." Since launching last month, millions of players have logged on to Zenless Zone Zero to experience its exciting gameplay, futuristic atmosphere, and unique roster of characters. Version 1.1 will continue the Proxy's story, where players can experience new characters and features.

The recent Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 Special Program stream revealed the upcoming content that's launching on August 14, 2024. It will kick off with the story mission "Undercover R&B," where the Proxy will assist officers from New Eridu Public Security (PubSec) in investigating the activities of a new faction called the Mountain Lion Gang. Zenless Zone Zero fans have a lot more to look forward to in the next update.

New Playable Agents

Version 1.1 will be the debut of new S-rank banner Agents Qingyi and Jane Doe, and A-rank Seth Lowell. The first phase will feature the Electric-type Stun character Qingyi, a mysterious PubSec officer and Zhu Yuan's right-hand woman, who deals significant Shock damage to enemies.

For the second phase, it will be led by the Physical-type Anomaly character Jane Doe, who is hinted to be a member of the Mountain Lion Gang. Seth, a PubSec officer with an Electric attribute and a Defense fighting style, will also be available in the second phase.

New Signature W-Engines

Along with the new banner characters, Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 will release signature W-Engines that complement the Agents' fighting styles. These can be obtained via the Dissonant Sonata banner.

Ice-Jade Teapot (S-rank Stun): Qingyi's signature W-Engine that increases the wearer's Impact by a certain percentage.
Sharpened Stinger (S-rank Anomaly): Jane's signature W-Engine that can increase the wearer's Physical damage and Anomaly Buildup Rate.
Peacekeeper - Specialized (A-rank Defense): Seth's signature W-Engine that increases the wearer's Energy Regen whenever they're shielded.

New Bangboo

Zenless Zone Zero is a unique HoYoverse title because it has a separate banner for Bangboos, which are essentially pet companions that can fight. Version 1.1 will release a new S-rank Bangboo named Officer Cui, who looks like the Officer Bangboos littered around Lumina Square.

Officer Cui (S-rank Bangboo): Bites and tears at target enemy, dealing significant Physical DMG.

New Missions

The main mission for Version 1.1 is "Undercover R&B," which will mainly focus on PubSec going up against the Mountain Lion Gang. Players will also have the chance to explore New Eridu as Jane, which will be a first for Zenless Zone Zero because its default setting is using the Proxy for city exploration.

There will also be a new Agent Story titled "The Case of a Missing Bangboo." This commission will focus on Qingyi, giving players a closer look at Qingyi's personality and a bit of her lore. Accomplishing this and obtaining Qingyi from the banner can also unlock her Trust Event.

New Events and Game Modes

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 will have various limited-time events and game modes to farm Polychromes and other materials, and give fans an exciting gameplay experience. There will be seven-day login rewards that will gift players with Encrypted Master Tapes and Boopons, which can be used to pull for S-rank Agents and Bangboo. Players can also participate in the new Inferno Reap mode, where they can face the boss monster Nineveh head-on with no TV gameplay.

There will be several events available, such as the summer festival-themed "Camellia Golden Week," where players can complete commissions to earn rewards; and "First-Class Customer Service," a rhythm-like mini-game to help customers tune their video players. For the photography lovers, "Scene One, Shot One!" Will allow them to capture the lives of characters roaming around New Eridu. Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 is also treating players to new stages for Shiyu Defense and the HIA Career Club, so they can farm materials to upgrade their characters.
