The first set of banners for Zenless Zone Zero 2.1 is already posing a difficult question for players. Both Yuzuha and Miyabi are valuable characters to have, and missing out on one might make progression later on more difficult than usual.
Choosing between a Support and a DPS character is always hard if you're the type who pulls for meta and overall account strength. For all of those who are torn between New Eridu's youngest Void Hunter and Spook Shack's smug ghost hunter, here's a guide to help you figure things out.
Yuzuha Team Composition Guide In Zenless Zone Zero
As a support that can grant Anomaly-related boosts, Yuzuha's teams in Zenless Zone Zero will consist of Anomaly damage dealers.
Should You Pull for Miyabi in ZZZ?
Miyabi is arguably the best DPS unit in Zenless Zone Zero, and unless the game gets a drastic rework, she's expected to stay on top. Not only does she hit extremely hard, but she's also fairly easy to use, unlike Silver Soldier Anby, Harumasa, and Yixuan.
Miyabi might be an Anomaly character, but she plays more like a traditional Attack unit. Her dual nature makes her very effective in both Anomaly and traditional Stun/DPS/Support teams. She is an incredibly flexible character, and if you don't have an Ice DPS character, you should definitely get her first over Yuzuha.
To answer the question, you should definitely pull for Miyabi first. If you already have her, though, then whether or not you should pull for her Mindscape Cinema boils down to how badly you want to max her out. Otherwise, consider pulling for Yuzuha.
Should You Pull for Yuzuha in ZZZ?
Yuzuha is the game's first Physical Support unit, and she works a little similarly to Lucy. Both have friendly on-field units who can deal damage alongside the active character, but apart from only giving ATK boosts, Yuzuha also buffs Anomaly Build-up and Disorder DMG. This makes her the premier Anomaly Support next to Seth (even though he's primarily a Defense character).
Naturally, this means that Yuzuha synergizes extremely well with Miyabi, but more importantly, she'll work well in any Anomaly team. Yuzuha's passive skill adapts to the damage type of the on-field unit who triggers it, making her a high-value pull. The same can be said for all support units in these types of games, though.
You should pull for Yuzuha if:
- You already have Miyabi
- You want to get Alice
- You like Anomaly teams
- You want a universally-useful character
How Does Yuzuha Work in ZZZ?
Yuzuha's value comes from applying the Sweet Scare debuff, which she inflicts when she hits enemies with the heavy attack of her Ultimate or EX Special. Enemies marked by Sweet Scare will suffer Aftershock attacks from Yuzuha when they get hit by other squadmates. The damage Yuzuha deals will change to match the element of whoever triggered the Aftershock.
Yuzuha Build Guide in Zenless Zone Zero
Yuzuha is a great Support in Zenless Zone Zero who needs ATK and Anomaly Mastery to max her buff.
When Yuzuha applies Sweet Scare, she also gives Tanuki Wish to the entire team, giving them bonus ATK, and all their attacks deal 15% more damage. If there's an Anomaly character on the team and her own Anomaly Mastery is 100 or more, she increases the Anomaly Buildup Rate, Anomaly DMG, and Disorder DMG of all squadmates with Tanuki Wish for every point of Anomaly Mastery she has over 100.
In summary, all you need to do to get value out of Yuzuha is to:
- Parry attacks with Yuzuha
- Use Yuzuha's EX Special and Ultimate
Of course, there's more to her kit than this, but this is the basic gist of what she does to support her team.
Yuzuha's Tanuki friend will fight whenever she's off-field, much like how Lucy's boars do.
Who to Pull For in ZZZ 2.1?
We strongly recommend getting Miyabi first if you don't already have her. Miyabi is simply too strong of a character to pass up on, and one of her best teams (a mono-Ice comp featuring Lycaon and Soukaku) is relatively easy to get and build. Moreover, Miyabi is still the best among the Anomaly characters in terms of damage output, making her a very attractive unit to pull for.
If you already have Miyabi, we recommend pulling for Yuzuha. Support units remain viable for a very long time, and with Yuzuha being the game's first Physical Support, she's bound to open up a lot of opportunities for units like Jane Doe and even Nekomata. Other Anomaly units will also benefit a lot from her.
Miyabi's Mindscape bonuses make her significantly more powerful, and at the very least, we recommend getting her to at least M2 if you're planning on pulling for her again. Otherwise, Yuzuha would likely bring more value to your account since she can make existing and future characters stronger.
