Zenless Zone Zero confirms that it is finally bringing back previously released S-Rank agents in Version 1.5, starting with Ellen Joe and Qingyi. Characters are a key aspect to HoYoverse's popular games like Zenless Zone Zero, making them available for a short window of time to entice players to spend money or in-game resources to try and unlock them.

Unlike HoYoverse's other tentpole franchises, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero has yet to add rerun banner, as each update has solely focused on adding new agents to the roster. Fans originally believed the highly anticipated Version 1.4 update for Zenless Zone Zero would make rerun banners available, following in the footsteps of Genshin Impact, though nothing ultimately happened. However, HoYoverse has finally confirmed news about Zenless Zone Zero reruns coming in the next major game update.

However, starting with Version 1.5 in Zenless Zone Zero, fans who may have missed out on earlier updates or have since started playing, will finally get a chance to pull for previously released agents. As revealed within the Version 1.5 Special Program for Zenless Zone Zero, Phase 1 will begin on January 22, making the Ether agent Astra Yao available alongside a special rerun banner for Ellen Joe, who was originally added in Version 1.1. Better yet, the update will also add Ellen's Agent Story in Zenless Zone Zero as well.

Similar to previous updates, Version 1.5 is split into two phases, with the second launching on February 12 with all new banners. Zenless Zone Zero will add Evelyn Chevalier during Phase 2, while also bringing back the PubSec Agent, Qingyi for those who missed her during the second half of Version 1.1. It's also worth noting that both reruns will also bring back their specific W-Engines as well, for those who want to fully outfit each character with their signature gear.

The Version 1.5 special program also confirmed a recent Zenless Zone Zero rumor regarding new character outfits. After leaking days earlier, HoYoverse revealed 3 new outfits could be unlocked with Version 1.5, including "Chandelier" for Astra, "On Campus" for Ellen, and "Cunning Cutie" Nicole. Specifically, the Cunning Cutie outfit for Nicole will also be free to claim as a reward from the Day of Brilliant Wishes limited time event.
