Zenless Zone Zero has revealed the first new W-Engine coming with the Version 1.3 update, introducing the stats and effects for Tsukishiro Yanagi's signature W-Engine. The newest action RPG from HoYoverse offers players plenty of different ways to upgrade their in-game characters, with multiple different resources and materials to pick up. Players can enhance their characters by setting up optimal "Drive Disc" lineups, as well as improving their individual Skills and unlocking powerful buffs through that character's "Core Skills." However, the game's gacha system offers a particularly powerful way of buffing up Agents.

W-Engines serve as Zenless Zone Zero's equivalent to Weapons in Genshin Impact and Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail. Each character can equip a W-Engine based on their in-game class, with W-Engines typically offering powerful stat boosts and helpful abilities catering to specific playstyles. New five-star characters also typically receive their own "signature" W-Engine, with abilities created to boost the effectiveness of that character's Skills and specialties. Zenless Zone Zero's newest five-star character is now seeing her featured W-Engine revealed.

An official reveal through Zenless Zone Zero's social media accounts is detailing Tsukishiro Yanagi's signature W-Engine coming with Version 1.3. The W-Engine, dubbed "Timeweaver," provides its holder with a base ATK boost of 713 alongside an additional 30% increase to their ATK when upgraded to Level 60. The W-Engine's core ability increases Electric Anomaly Buildup Rate by 30%, also improving Anomaly Proficiency when hitting enemies stricken with an Anomaly. The user also benefits from a 25% boost to their Disorder damage when their Anomaly Proficiency stat is greater than or equal to 375.

Zenless Zone Zero Reveals New W-Engine in Version 1.4

When the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency is greater than or equal to 375, Disorder DMG inflicted by the equipper increases by 25%.

The powerful Anomaly-focused W-Engine is expected to pair well with both Zenless Zone Zero's pre-existing Electric Anomaly character and its newest member. Standard banner five-star character Grace currently sits as the only Electric Anomaly character before Yanagi, with her kit boasting a mix of Physical and Electric damage. Previous leaks and teasers have also hinted at new character Yanagi's heavy reliance on Anomaly status, providing increases to her damage when hitting enemies with Disorder. Tsukishiro Yanagi and her signature W-Engine will arrive with the launch of Version 1.3 next week.

Yanagi won't be the only new character to join Zenless Zone Zero's roster in Version 1.3, with another familiar face set to become playable. The Sons of Calydon will receive their final member as a playable character during Version 1.3, with Lighter set to join Zenless Zone Zero as a Fire Stun character. Both Yanagi and Lighter will also receive their own focused "Agent Story" missions following the release of Version 1.3, giving players an early chance to try out the new characters. Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.3 looks to be jam-packed with exciting new content when it launches next week.
