Zenless Zone Zero recently released its 1.4 update, but fans are already looking forward to the next patch, as it will add two playable units, a new area, and potential skin for Nicole Demara. Now, a new leak has teased that the current patch cycle may run longer than expected.

Reliable leaker Flying Flame has reported that Zenless Zone Zero's current cycle should end with Version 1.7. Per the leak, the game would then follow up with Version 2.0, and this cycle would end with the 2.8 update and jump to Version 3.0. Other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail ended their first patch cycle with Version 1.6. If the leak turns out to be true, Zenless Zone Zero could set itself apart from its peers and offer more content for players. Moreover, another leak from the same source revealed that developers already have 31 new characters planned for future updates. Between S-Rank and A-Rank units, there are currently 26 playable characters in Zenless Zone Zero, so it seems developers have a lot more in store for the roster.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Suggests Next Patch Cycle Duration

While Version 1.7 is likely still months away, Zenless Zone Zero players can look forward to the game's upcoming 1.5 update. The patch will add a new main story chapter, a new area, events, and more. However, what is probably most attractive about Version 1.5 is the addition of Astra Yao and Evelyn to the roster. Both characters will be S-Rank units, with the first rumored to be a good support in team compositions. Earlier Zenless Zone Zero leaks teased Astra Yao's materials, so players may want to farm early before pulling for her.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4 is expected to end in late January. Although the update introduced Hoshimi Miyabi, a most powerful unit, it also faced complaints from fans due to supposed censorship issues. Zenless Zone Zero fixed the alleged bug within a day, and developers compensated players for the trouble.
