Zenless Zone Zero continues to tease Update 1.7 by showcasing the next character likely to be featured on one of the two S-Rank banners. The character of Hugo Vlad has been teased quite a bit as of late, first discovered by Zenless Zone Zero leakers, before the individual has become a more central piece of the game's evolving narrative.
Fans are now only days away from the next major update for Zenless Zone Zero, focusing on the New Eridu's Defense Force, as well as the origins of Soldier 11 and Anby. Thanks to the Zenless Zone Zero Update 1.6 livestream, fans also got to experience some of the new storylines coming in the update, including what appears to be a major conflict between Lycaon and the new Mockingbird faction. In fact, HoYoverse is placing a greater emphasis on this fact as both Vivian and Hugo Vlad are in line to be featured in Update 1.7.
Zenless Zone Zero Leak Hints at Version 1.7 Re-Runs
A new Zenless Zone Zero leak is hinting at the lineup of re-run character set to return to the limited gacha banner during Version 1.7.
The next major agent reveal for Zenless Zone Zero is Hugo Vlad, a mysterious character who refers to himself as a collector, but likely has more sinister motives. The reveal indicates that Hugo is an Attacker who is another Ice attribute user. While there isn't much else to go on, recent leaks claim Hugo will be a boss character in Zenless Zone Zero Update 1.6, potentially following a similar trajectory as Genshin Impact's Scaramouche, a boss character who was eventually added as a playable character.
HoYoverse Making Changes to Hugo's Character Model
Surprisingly, HoYoverse also indicated that, based on player feedback, Hugo Vlad is getting his character model adjusted. Interestingly enough, the post doesn't go into specifics about what that actually means, as the "adjusted model" will be available once Update 1.7 launches. For now, Hugo retains his more elegant style, wearing what appears to be some sort of business suit and tie with a very long blonde ponytail and his distinctive red and green eyes.
Hugo's reveal comes right on the heels of Zenless Zone Zero's first Update 1.7 character, Vivian. Both characters have been getting more involved with the current game's story, as Hugo seemingly stole one of Astra's prized disks, swapping out a self-produced copy with a limited-edition version before she noticed. The pair also seem to be prominently featured in the upcoming 1.6 update, seemingly as antagonists to Victoria Housekeeping and its leader, Lycaon.

I know, I know, there's Ether in the Hollows, bizarre creations, even heritage of the old civilization, all precious treasures. But don't forget, there's also spatial disorder, monsters and mutants running rampant, and ultimately, a disaster that could swallow the world. They are not a place where ordinary people should go.
So don't go into Hollows.
Or at least, don't go in alone.
If you insist on getting into danger, go to New Eridu first.
This city where the good and the bad mix has many people who need the Hollows: Powerful wealthy tycoons, gangs that stalk the streets, conspiracy nuts, and ruthless officials.
Make your preparations there, find strong allies, and most importantly—
Find a "Proxy".
Only they can guide people out of the maze-like Hollows.
