A cool Zenless Zone Zero Easter egg shows what happens if a player returns to the game after being inactive for more than 14 days. Released last April, Zenless Zone Zero is one of the bigger HoYoverse titles because of its still-growing semi-open world map of New Eridu and Hollow dungeons, which may require a lot of time to focus on everything that's happening so far.

Despite being a relatively young game in the gacha space, Zenless Zone Zero has stood out with its unique cast of characters and impressive combat system that can be likened to tag fighting games. It also helps that New Eridu is constantly buzzing with Proxy commissions, on top of the main story missions and limited-time events, which give Zenless Zone Zero fans a lot of content to play through at each visit.

Of course, there are also busy gamers who can't log in to Zenless Zone Zero daily, so HoYoverse finally set up a "welcome back" package for returning players who have been inactive for 14 days or more. When players load up the game, they will be greeted with a video call from Belle or Wise (depending on who their main Proxy is) welcoming them back from their trip, and that they have a gift waiting for them at the video store. The new "Back in Business" event will also be active for 16 days to give returning players a significant boost in material drops, a chance to pull for a limited S-rank Agent, and access to a limited-time Co-Star Agent that they can use in farming stages.

Zenless Zone Zero's 'Back in Business' Event Explained

  • "Back in Business" only triggers for players who have been inactive for two weeks or more, and the event will be active for 16 days.
  • Once players log back in, they receive a special video message from the Proxy siblings. "Back in Business" also includes perks like Reset Check-In, Engagement Record, Double Drops, limited-time Co-Star Agent, and a signal boost for limited S-rank Agents.

HoYoverse is known for giving special perks to players who have been inactive for a number of days, but Zenless Zone Zero is the first game to include animated video calls from the protagonists. Many fans on Twitter found the new update to be adorable, especially how the videos show the difference between Belle and Wise's personalities after seeing the player back online. Meanwhile, some jokingly expressed their disappointment that they won't be able to see the "welcome back" videos because they log in daily.

Considering the amount of content that Zenless Zone Zero currently has and will have in upcoming updates, the Back in Business event definitely gives players a chance to catch up and easily get upgrade materials and/or Polychromes they might have missed. These items will also greatly help players pull in upcoming S-rank Agent banners, such as Version 1.3's newest characters Tsukishiro Yanagi and Lighter.

Don't go into the Hollows.
I know, I know, there's Ether in the Hollows, bizarre creations, even heritage of the old civilization, all precious treasures. But don't forget, there's also spatial disorder, monsters and mutants running rampant, and ultimately, a disaster that could swallow the world. They are not a place where ordinary people should go.
So don't go into Hollows.
Or at least, don't go in alone.
If you insist on getting into danger, go to New Eridu first.
This city where the good and the bad mix has many people who need the Hollows: Powerful wealthy tycoons, gangs that stalk the streets, conspiracy nuts, and ruthless officials.
Make your preparations there, find strong allies, and most importantly—
Find a "Proxy".
Only they can guide people out of the maze-like Hollows.
Good luck!
