Yunobo of Goron City is a main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that players can initiate by speaking with Bludo at coordinates 1649, 2447, 0381. To complete this quest, fans must visit Death Mountain, the Depths, and the Fire Temple, and there are several points at which it is possible to get stuck. For those players do find themselves struggling to progress through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Yunobo of Goron City main quest, this guide is here to help.

To note, it is strongly recommended that players purchase the Flamebreaker Armor from the armor shop in Goron City (coordinates 1643, 2407, 0384) before getting into this quest. Indeed, the Flame Guard that this TotK armor provides is very important, as fans will be entering several locations with extreme temperatures during Yunobo of Goron City. Players are also advised to get their hands on an assortment of metal weapons, as wood will burn under the harsh conditions.

To YunoboCo HQ

The quest's first objective is to head to a cave at coordinates 1647, 2839, 0415, just north of Goron City. While Tears of the Kingdom players should feel free to walk to this location, there are tracks at coordinates 1749, 2569, 0427 that lead directly to it, and all the materials that are needed to make a fan-powered cart can be found in the area.

Regardless of how a player ultimately decides to travel to the cave at YunoboCo HQ, they should speak with the two Goron at the entrance upon arrival. In this conversation, fans should indicate that they will "see what they can do" and then follow the path forward to initiate a battle with Yunobo.

Yunobo Fight

Yunobo has one primary attack, which sees the Goron roll into a ball and charge at Link. Players can avoid this attack by continually moving to the left or right while using TotK's lock-on feature, and a successful dodge will cause Yunobo to become temporarily stunned. Fans should use that stun as an opportunity to deal some damage to the Goron, and they should repeat this process until they break his mask, turn him into a companion, and gain access to his Charge ability.

To Death Mountain

It is now time for players to set their minds to reaching the top of Death Mountain, which is situated to the east of Goron City. While there are many ways that fans can approach this journey, here is a route that can be used to easily travel from YunoboCo HQ to Death Mountain's peak:

  • Use a fan-powered cart to ride the track from coordinates 1649, 2794, 0414 to Goron City.
  • Use a fan-powered cart to ride the track from coordinates 1737, 2634, 0414 to the Death Mountain West Site.
  • Use a fan-powered cart to ride southward along the track at coordinates 2190, 2643, 0521, using Yunobo's Charge to break boulders, barriers, and enemies as needed.
  • When the cart stops at coordinates 2370, 2604, 0827, take a moment to activate the Sitsum Shrine below, then use the Ascend ability and walk up the ramp next to the track.

  • Interact with Yunobo after he runs forward to initiate the battle with Moragia.

Moragia Fight

As soon as this fight begins, players should use TotK's Ultrahand ability to pick up the fan-powered wings that are on the ground. Fans should then spin around and place the wings so that the nose is pointed off the edge of the mountain. Players can then get on top of the wings, interact with the controls to activate the fans, fly up toward Moragia's heads, and hit all three of them with Yunobo's Charge ability to destroy the enemy.

Into the Crater

After dispatching Moragia, Yunobo will jump into Death Mountain's crater, and players should follow, using their paraglider to make a safe landing near coordinates 2368, 2569, -0948. There is a Lightroot at those coordinates, and fans should examine it and then speak with Yunobo at coordinates 2345, 2582, -0949.

The Voice

A voice will catch the attention of Link and Yunobo during their conversation, and players must follow it to the west. To make this journey more entertaining, players should consider heading to coordinates 2138, 2583, -0961, where they can use Ultrahand to get a controllable car up and running. Notably, placing a Brightbloom Seed on top of the vehicle is recommended, as the extra light can make traveling through the Depths easier.

Once a player has their vehicle setup, they should drive along the path that heads north past a Zonai Device Dispenser. Fans can follow this path all the way to the quest waypoint at coordinates 1500, 2845, -0830, and indeed they can drive directly through the shallow lava that surrounds the location of interest.

Fire Temple

Players are now at the Fire Temple, and they should speak with Yunobo and use his Charge ability to break through the red boulders that block the entrance. Fans should then enter the Temple, follow the Goron to the locked gate, and interact with the green circle that is nearby. Players must now set their sights on completing the dungeon, and this full walkthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Fire Temple will assist with that endeavor.

Upon reaching the end of the Fire Temple, players will find themselves back in Goron City. Here, fans will receive the Vow of Yunobo, which makes it possible to continue using the Charge ability, and that marks the conclusion of the Yunobo of Goron City main quest.
