Since he first emerged from a hundred-year slumber in Breath of the Wild, Link has been helping the citizens of Hyrule with all sorts of problems, big and small. Now, in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link can spend time between restoring his lost health and harnessing the power of the four sages making day-to-day life a little easier for the people of Hyrule.
A pretty major problem that Link can help the Rito people with is their broken bridge, which is preventing non-winged (and non-paraglider-having) folks from entering the village. With the help of this guide, players can solve this problem for the Rito and earn a little spending money in Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Start the Rito Rope Bridge Quest in TotK
In order to trigger the quest, Link must have completed the Rito portion of Regional Phenomena. A Hylian and a RIto NPC can be found directly outside the converted Lucky Gazette headquarters. Another pre-requisite for completing this quest is completing a side quest at Lookout Landing called 'The Incomplete Stable' so that the carpenter has time to fix the bridge.
How To Complete the Rito Rope Bridge Quest
After some serious hints are dropped that they need help, Link can begin the quest.
Where To Find The Carpenter in Lookout Landing
The carpenter (whose name is Karson) can be found in Lookout Landing in different locations depending on the time of day. Look out for the Hylian wearing a red vest and green trousers. As noted earlier, he can only help with the Rito Rope Bridge if the mini-stable has been fixed.
Gathering Wood for the Bridge
Now that Karson is at the Rito Rope Bridge, he needs a little help. Specifically, he needs twenty pieces of wood in order to fix the bridge. Luckily, these are quite easy to find - chop down any tree with an axe or other slashing weapon, chop the trunk that falls, and it will turn into a bundle of wood that can be collected for Karson.
Reward for Completing the Rito Rope Bridge Quest
As a reward for completing the Rito Rope Bridge quest, Link will receive one Silver Rupee worth a hundred Rupees.
