"The Beckoning Woman" is one of the 12 parts in the "Potential Princess Sightings!" Side adventure in Tears of the Kingdom. Like other side adventures, it's not a requirement to complete the main story. However, it's necessary if players intend on collecting every armor set.
In this side adventure, players will need to follow after someone who's supposedly leading them to rescue their friend. It's one of the more straightforward tasks of "Potential Princess Sightings!", but Tears of the Kingdom players may want to equip good armor and weapons before going to help. The suspicious nature of "The Beckoning Woman" side adventure will put most players on guard.
How to Unlock "The Beckoning Woman" Side Adventure
Before this side adventure can be accepted, players need to speak to Traysi and Penn at the Lucky Clover Gazette. This is right before the bridge leading to Rito Village. After this, Traysi will ask Link to investigate several occurances around Hyrule that may be connected to Princess Zelda. This unlocks "Potential Princess Sightings!", and the reward for completing all investigations is the Froggy Armor Set.
For "The Beckoning Woman," players are going to want to go to Outskirt Stable (-1436, -1264, 0032). This is located southwest from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower (-0753, -1019, 0064). They'll need to speak to Penn, who's standing on the road by the stable entrance at -1414, -1294, 0034.
Apparently, there's been a woman near Outskirt Stable asking blond-haired men if they can help her friend. Any time someone goes to help, they quickly lose track of her. Penn seems to think the friend-in-need may be Princess Zelda, so it may be best to confirm these suspicions.
"The Beckoning Woman" Walkthrough
Players will first want to make their way for the crossroads that are south of Outskirt Stable. When they speak to Penn and the traveler, the traveler will point to where Link needs to go
- Standing by a tree at the crossroads is a villager named Ralera. She's looking for someone to help her friend, so hear her out. She'll then point further down the road and ask for Link to follow her. She'll be waiting on the road between the Great Plateau and Aquame Lake.
- Find and speak to her again, and she'll want Link to meet her at the top of the nearby cliff. Players can either take the path up the mountainside, or they can climb. If it's raining, it may be best to walk up the path, since climbing slick surfaces in rain will cause Link to slip.
- When meeting up with her for the third time, Ralera will direct Link to another location. Players are going to need to paraglide to the Great Plateau. The glide isn't too far, so even if players only have one stamina wheel, they should be able to make it.
- Confront Ralera about her suspicious behavior, and she'll reveal herself to be a member of the Yiga Clan.
- Players will have to fight a total of three Yiga to finish the side adventure. The Yiga are quick, but if players have far-reaching weapons (such as spears), they can land in a hit before the Yiga can disappear. If players are struggling, then they should try and take down one at a time. ZL-target and try to "back them up" away from their allies.
After the Yiga have been defeated, they'll flee. Penn will then arrive and check in on Link.
"The Beckoning Woman" Side Adventure Reward
Apparently the Yiga were trying to lure blond-haired men in an attempt to weed out and defeat Link. On The Surface of Hyrule, the Yiga tend to disguise themselves as travelers. They appear just about everywhere on the Great Plateau, but they'll also be sighted in East Akkala (near the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab) and of course, near the Yiga Hideout in the Gerudo Canyon. However, most Yiga are disguising themselves as Zonai Researchers in The Depths.
If Link has the full
Yiga Armor, he can avoid suspicion and even talk to them.
This aside, Penn will give Link his payment for the job. This reward will vary depending on how many "Potential Princess Sightings!" Side adventures have been completed. If this is the player's first one, then they'll receive 50 Rupees. Only by completing the side adventures will Link obtain Froggy Armor. For the final piece in the set, he'll need to report back to Traysi.
