On YouTube, a Japanese Zelda fan named qshyj recorded and posted a video that lasted just over four and a half minutes. In the video, qshyj used her MacBook to make a render of the classic hoverbike design from Tears of the Kingdom, which was then sent to a Creality resin 3D printer that molded the pieces into a slab similar to a model kit. After cutting the pieces away from the resin slab, qshyj then put the pieces into a UV curing light box before painting. She then smoothed out the rough spots by hand before using a spray painter to apply green paint to each piece. Afterward, qshyj took some fine tools and finished painting a control stick, two big fans, and some fan blades by hand. She then glued the fan blades together and snapped the fans and the control stick into their proper shape

For the finishing touch, qshyj used some multipurpose adhesive as a stand-in for Link's Ultrahand ability and used two pieces to attach the control stick to each fan similar to how it is done in Tears of the Kingdom. The video ended with qshyj "fusing" a miniature model of the broken Master Sword to one of the fans. At the time of writing, the YouTube video from qshyj had over 83k views and over 280 comments within the first three days. In the comments, Zelda fans praised qshyj for their camera work, for their attention to the fine details when modeling Tears of the Kingdom's Zonai devices, and for her creative use of the adhesive as an Ultrahand substitute.

While Zelda fans have created weapon replicas in the past, miniature models like the one designed by qshyj are an uncommon but welcome sight. Only time will tell if qshyj will gain more YouTube subscribers for her work in the future.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
