A clever Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player made a mod that randomizes enemies, weapons, and items, giving a new spin to experiencing the game. Tears of the Kingdom has a large open world ready to be explored and see Hyrule's different regions. While not the first open-world Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom is considered an improvement on what players found in Breath of the Wild.

As usual in the Zelda franchise, Tears of the Kingdom has the campaign to navigate and fight to save Hyrule from destruction one more time. Zelda players can do several things in the early game like taming a horse, buying arrows, or upgrading the inventory. While these are simple things, they give extra fun to the initial journey. After beating the campaign, players will still have quite a few things to do, such as collecting new recipes and paraglider fabrics.

YouTube user Waikuteru released a mod that randomizes enemies, weapons, and items and is the perfect "chaos" for those who want something new after investing many hours in Tears of the Kingdom. The player has posted a video on their channel that gives an overview of the mod, which is available on early access on their Patreon profile. Called Tears of the Kingdom Randomizer, this mod created for the new Zelda can make high-powered enemies spawn in unexpected places. The mod also randomizes the drop of weapons, shields, and bows, adding a layer of unpredictability to what players may encounter. The mod's surprise factor goes further and also randomizes the appearance of items in the game.

The Tears of the Kingdom mod created by Waikuteru offers around an impressive 3,000 total combinations for the weapons, shields, and bows that can Zelda players can find. Another feature Waikuteru has added to the mod is the chance to find fused weapons with different status values, exploring the new Tears of the Kingdom feature differently. With the mod, Link can be teleported, gain or lose Rupees within 3,000 possibilities, and get an item or weapon at random periodically.

The new Zelda game is a lot of fun, and has the potential to become even more fun when Nintendo eventually announces a Tears of the Kingdom DLC. Meanwhile, Waikuteru's work stands out for being interesting and impressive, although it is not unprecedented, as the player has already created a randomizer mod for Breath of the Wild. So players can expect something really fun from the Tears of the Kingdom randomizer mod, which will receive even more features in the future.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Nintendo Switch.
