As players progress through the story of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will want to track down and complete as many shrines as they possibly can. Even if just simply exploring Hyrule, completing shrines will allow players to gain more health and stamina. Regardless of what players do in the game, having both more stamina and health is important.
There are shrines all over Hyrule, including some that are up in the sky. Each shrine provides a unique series of fun puzzles and challenges for players to overcome by using their abilities. This guide will show Tears of the Kingdom players where they can find Makurukis Shrine along with how to complete it.
Where to Find Makurukis Shrine
Makurukis Shrine is located in the Hyrule Ridge region. Specifically, it is just off of the main road and east of the bridge. The coordinates for the Makurukis Shrine are -2847, 0629, 0233. For players heading to Hebra for a main quest early on in the game, it is likely that they will come across Makurukis Shrine since it is in view while traveling along the main path toward the bridge. The shrine is fairly easy to reach, and activating it will allow players to fast travel to this area in the future.
Makurukis Shrine Walkthrough
After activating the shrine, go inside. Unlike some shrines, the Makurukis Shrine does not have any puzzles that players need to complete. Instead, this particular shrine focuses on combat training involving the bow.
Players do not need to worry if they have no arrows or a bow. This shrine provides a bow and some arrows to the left. Be ready, though, as players do not get a chance to grab any of these items before the trial begins.
Shortly after entering the room, the construct in the middle of the room will activate, and a sourceless voice will tell players that they need to strike the head of the construct with an arrow. Do not attempt to use any other kind of weapon, not even a thrown weapon, as they will not do any damage or progress the trial.
Equip a bow and aim for the top eye on the construct. The construct itself doesn't do much damage, so don't worry if the first shot or two misses. Compared to combat outside the shrine, this encounter is fairly forgiving.
After hitting the construct, two more constructs will spawn and all three constructs will chase players. Do not focus on the targets, as it makes it harder to hit the top eye. Instead, move away from them and just aim for the eye when an opening presents itself. The other constructs don't do much damage, but try to keep a good distance away from them.
Once the constructs have all been destroyed, the door will open and players will be free to proceed to the altar. Before doing so, however, make sure to grab the
Zonai Charge and any weapons or ammunition that may be lying around. There is also a chest in the room with the altar that contains a
Strong Construct Bow.
