Tears of the Kingdom players aiming to replicate Link's iconic look from Breath of the Wild will want to get the
Tunic of Memories. This is the same tunic that Link wears in his Champion's Leather armor, but with a few differences. Returning Breath of the Wild players will notice the base defense for the Tunic of Memories is a bit lower this time around.
To get the Tunic of Memories in Tears of the Kingdom, players will need to complete several prerequisites. This involves finding the Bargainer Statues and completing a specific Side Adventure. While getting the Tunic of Memories doesn't cost money, players will want to make sure they're collecting the Poes in The Depths.
How to Unlock Tunic of Memories
To get the Tunic of Memories, players will need to complete the side adventure "A Call From The Depths," which is preceded by "Trapped Under the Water Behind the Stone Gate" side quest. They will then need to find all Bargainer Statues in The Depths. Once all Bargainer Statues have been spoken to, players will be able to purchase the Tunic of Memories from any of them for 400 Poes.
Trapped Under the Water Behind the Stone Gate
- Players can get the "Trapped Under the Water Behind the Stone Gate" side quest by speaking to the Goddess Statue in the Temple of Time Ruins (-0822, -2027, 0119) on the Great Plateau.
- Players will then need to go to -0561, -1506, 0018, which is on the other side of the wall near the Great Plateau North Chasm.
- Break the blockage with a boulder, rock, or Bomb Flower (Yunobo's Vow works too). Then, interact with the statue.
A Call From the Depths
- After freeing the statue under the water, Return to the Goddess Statue in the Temple of Time Ruins. Speak with it to unlock "A Call From the Depths."
- Now, Link will need to go to all four Chasms on the Great Plateau and look for the Poe Eye statues. Toss them into the Chasms.
- Once all Eyes are in The Depths, Link will need to bring each one to the Great Abandoned Central Mine (- 0775, -1899, -0564) and insert them into the statue's face. There are Zonai devices to make the travel less tedious.
Find All Bargainer Statues
Players can reveal the location of the Bargainer Statues in The Depths by speaking to the Poe Statue at Lookout Landing (0317, -1097, 0009). Doing so will cost Link 100 Poes per location reveal. For those wondering, Poes are the little blue orbs that can be found in The Depths. Farm enough of them, and they can be traded to any of the Bargainer Statues for exclusive weapons and armor - including the Tunic of Memories.
There are seven Bargainer Statues:

Can the Tunic of Memories Be Upgraded?
Like in Breath of the Wild, the Tunic of Memories can be upgraded in Tears of the Kingdom. Unfortunately, at max upgrade, it doesn't have a base defense of 32 and instead has a base defense of 28. Those that would still like to upgrade the Tunic of Memories will need the following:
