A Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has built a Gatling cannon that can kill waves of enemies in seconds. Since Tears of the Kingdom's launch in May, players have risen to the challenge of crafting a wide array of vehicles to help Link get around Hyrule. Some members of the Tears of the Kingdom community even created an instructional website that allows them to share their inventive contraptions ranging from guardian stalkers to autonomous combat drones.
In Tears of the Kingdom, there are a number of Ultrahand creations players can come up with, including self-propelled boats, off-road buggies, and even mechs derived from animals. This innovative ability has sparked a wave of engineering marvels that show how hard players can push the limits of the game's building mechanics. Recently, one imaginative Tears of the Kingdom player crafted an Iron Man suit, while another made a snake mech that can extend and shorten for mobility.
Over on Instagram, a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player showed an impressive weapon build that is composed of a Zonai stack, a wheel, and a number of cannons. The player seems to have attached a stack to a wheel via an axle to make it spin in place. Also, they attached two big Zonai batteries, which can only be found in some treasure chests in Shrines, to the stack. Players who want to try this build should know it probably won't be craftable with Tears of the Kingdom's Autobuild ability, as the cannons need to be added one at a time while the wheel is spinning.
Tears of the Kingdom's Zonai devices look to be the core elements of this Gatling cannon build, including wheels and batteries. However, it requires a huge amount of Zonaite to craft and fire the weapon, which is a disadvantage against other death machines. In the comments, many players said this automatic cannon is handy for clearing hordes of enemies, with one claiming that it should be called a "War Crimes Simulator."
In Tears of the Kingdom, the best inventions are sometimes the simplest vehicles that can be used to kill enemies and cover great distances at speed. Considering the sheer size of the game's map, players will need vehicles to navigate around Hyrule. With an abundance of Zonai devices at their disposal, they can also weaponize and enhance the capabilities of these vehicles. It's hard to imagine what other vehicles they will come up with in the future.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
