One crafty player recently managed to build the AT-AT walker from Star Wars in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Their feat adds to the seemingly endless string of amazing Tears of the Kingdom community creations that continue to pour online.
While the new Zelda game doesn't force players to use the Ultrahand ability for creating anything but the most basic contraptions, those who do delve into the Tears of the Kingdom building system beyond what's required will soon find it to be immensely powerful. Many fans who did just that have been one-upping one another with some incredibly inventive creations ever since the game reached the store shelves in mid-May.
One of the latest additions to that ever-growing list of convoluted contraptions was engineered by Reddit user 0racle624, who recently went through the effort of creating a fairly faithful replica of the All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) walker from Star Wars in Tears of the Kingdom. Their design uses a pair of cages for the war machine's body and another two U-shaped blocks for its head, while the walker's legs consist of half a dozen Zonai Stabilizers combined with the same amount of Zonai Big Wheels.
While the AT-ATs from Star Wars boast heavy laser cannon turrets on the sides of their heads, this Tears of the Kingdom recreation of the iconic vehicle features a single Construct Head equipped with the Zonai Beam Emitter mounted on the left flank of its pilot cabin. The author of the contraption would have presumably used two such auto-targeting turrets had their existing design not reached 20 components. For clarity, all Tears of the Kingdom structures built with Ultrahand start falling apart if the player attempts to join more than 21 parts together.
Nevertheless, 0racle624 had just enough room to equip this Star Wars-inspired Tears of the Kingdom vehicle with a Zonai Cannon, which both mimics the AT-AT's anti-personnel blasters and improves the walker's combat effectiveness. Pairing Zonai Beam Emitters with Cannons has long been a popular practice among Tears of the Kingdom players, as doing so results in a weapon that can both deliver uninterrupted laser damage and stun-lock enemies with artillery blasts, thus preventing them from retaliating.
This impressive replica of the AT-AT walker is far from the first feat of Star Wars-inspired engineering that the game's fandom completed to date. Just several weeks back, another player took online to flaunt an incredible Tears of the Kingdom plane based on The Mandalorian's Starfighter.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
