If your Echoes aren't holding their own against the late-game monsters in Echoes of WIsdom, it may be time to find new ones. After you've completed the first three dungeons, you should start exploring more of Hyrule if you haven't already done so. If you head north of Hyrule Castle Town, you can find one of the strongest Echoes: The Lynel. Breath of the Wild brought back this classic Zelda enemy, and it's yours to command in Echoes of Wisdom. Just like it's BotW/TotK counterpart, the Lynel is a fearsome foe, and one you'll want to challenge after you've learned level 2/3 Echoes.
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - All Accessories

Lynel Location in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Where to Find Eternal Forest
The Lynel can be found in the Eternal Forest, which lies between Hebra and Eldin. Before the Lynel can appear, you'll need to clear the rift over the Northern Sanctuary. It's possible to do this before the "Still Missing" story quest, but the Lynel won't appear until Zelda can change outfits.
Once you've found Tri's friends in the Northern Sanctuary rift, go inside the sanctuary and speak to the priest at the podium. Choose the option Other Tales? And inquire about the beast. He'll mention sightings of monster tracks in the Eternal Forest.
Following Lynel Tracks
Ignoring the priest's warnings, head west to the Eternal Forest. There's a Waypoint statue right at the entrance. You'll notice there are no distinct pathways on the Eternal Forest's map. From the end of the road leading into the forest, head northwest. You should find another Waypoint statue.
A few feet south of the Waypoint statue are hoof tracks in the mud. You will need to follow these around the Eternal Forest until you find the Lynel.
- From the first hoof prints, go west to find another set.
- From here, go west again.
- The third set of tracks lead south, so follow these.
- You should see a Sword Moblin Lv 2 near your next set, which points southeast.
- The following steps go east, past the area with a Caromadillo.
- When you're back near the entrance, you'll find hoof prints that weren't there when you first walked in. These lead north, and then northeast to a path that leads to a clearing.
If you're going in the direction of the hoof prints, but you're not seeing the prints in the mud, then you'll have to reset. Return to the Waypoint statue (walk or warp) to find the first set of hoof prints, and restart the process.

Tips for Fighting the Lynel
How Much Does the Lynel Echo Cost to Use?
The Lynel is a difficult opponent that can easily one-hit your weaker Echoes, so use Lv. 3 Echoes if you have them. If not, then you should use Lv. 2 Echoes. Also, while you can obtain the Lynel Echo fairly early in the second-half of Echoes of Wisdom, it's recommended you build up Tri's Echoe to where you can summon two Lv. 2 Echoes.
A recommended Echo to use against the Lynel is the Lizalfos Lv. 3, which you can find in a cave at the southwest of Faron Wetlands, north of the heart-shaped lake. The Lizalfos is quick and can jump around the enemy, making it a better match for the Lynel than most monsters. However, the Lizalfos can be stunned if its spear attack is blocked, leaving it vulnerable to counter. If the Lizalfos isn't working, use another Echo. There's a Sword Moblin Lv. 3 near the second set of Lynel tracks.
You can't use Tri's Bind Ability to hold the Lynel in place. Just keep Zelda out of the Lynel's reach, and re-summon your Echo when needed. You can also use Swordfighter Mode's bow to fire at it from a distance.
Eventually, the Lynel will go down, and you can learn its Echo. This is a powerful beast that is perfect for bosses - including the final boss. The Lynel requires 6 triangles of Tri's power. You can start using the Lynel Echo when Tri is level 9. If you manage to reach max level/level 11, the cost to summon the Lynel will change to 5 triangles.
