There are a few out-of-the-way locations in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that Zelda can access early, but can't actually get into until certain prerequisites are met. Though you can find the mysterious shipwreck to the south of Seesyde Village before picking up this side quest, you can't actually get inside until you have begun The Zappy Shipwreck.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Precious Treasure Quest Guide

The Precious Treasure quest in Echoes of Wisdom can be solved by bringing an item located nearby to the quest giver.

Though you can pick up this quest relatively early in Echoes of Wisdom, The Zappy Shipwreck is much easier to complete when you've added some powerful combat Echoes to your collection, and once you have created some Electricity Proof potions or smoothies. This is because the monster causing the Zappy Shipwreck's issues is a Barinade, a gigantic electric jellyfish that is tough to beat without certain Echoes or an upgraded Swordfighter form.

Echoes of Wisdom The Zappy Shipwreck Quest Location

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Zappy Shipwreck Quest Location

To start The Zappy Shipwreck quest in Echoes of Wisdom, head to Seesyde Village and look for an old man standing on top of a boat, just next to the dock entrance. Use an Echo to jump on top of the boat, then talk to him to find out about his plight.

As it turns out, the man needs someone Zippy to deal with a Zappy monster that's currently inhabiting a shipwreck to the south. Respond with "I'm Zippy!" To his dialogue, then head to the southwest to find the Shipwreck and find out exactly what's going on underneath.

Find The Ship Location & Delve Inside To Fight A Jellyfish Boss

From Seesyde Village, head precisely south-west to find the Shipwreck floating out on the open water. Use a Trampoline or other floating Echo to get on the ship's deck. Bind to the trapdoor on the top-right side of the ship and pull it backward to reveal an entrance into the ship's interior.

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Rain Making Monster Quest Walkthrough
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - The Rain-Making Monster Quest Guide

To find a Rain-Making Monster for the eponymous Echoes of Wisdom quest, you don't have to travel too far from Scrubton.

This first room is absolutely stuffed with crates, pots, and barrels, and on first glance doesn't seem like there's anything of note. But move some boxes on the top-right of the room to reveal a door that leads further down into one of the flooded areas of the ship.

This room is filled with Tectites and Octoroks, but you don't need to defeat them to progress. Head to the far left side of the room to see an entrance down. Walk into this room, then Dive underwater in the hole on the left side to reach a sidescrolling underwater section.

Swim left through this area and stop for bubbles and to light crystals along the way. You don't need to defeat enemies in this area to progress (unless you haven't collected the Shocking Jelly and Tangler Echoes) and eventually you should reach an area you can surface on the top-left side of this section.

Surface to find yourself in the ship's sleeping quarters. On the left side of the room, use Water Blocks (or another Echo that can raise you upward) to enter the small gap in the wooden wall on the upper bottom-left of the room.

In the next room, on the other side of a gate, you will see a Statue on the top-right side and a button on the upper-top-left side atop a small wall. Jump into the water and Lock On to the statue while standing on its right-hand side. Jump onto the platform next to the gate to lift it into the air and jump to the left to get it onto the short wall with the button. Lock On to it and drag it over to activate the button and open the gate.

You can also use Water Blocks to swim up while Binding to the Statue to reach the switch more easily. Build up Water Blocks on the opposite side of the gate from the button, then swim up it while Binding to the Statue to lift it up and place it on the button.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - The Zora Child's Fate Quest Guide

To complete The Zora Child's Fate quest in Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda must summon three different fish for the child's mum nearby.

In the next room, either defeat or run past the enemies as you head to the right, then enter the stairway on the top-right side of the room to fight the Zappy Shipwreck boss: the Barinade.

Echoes of Wisdom Jellyfish Boss Walkthrough

The Barinade boss is a multi-part boss fight that is made significantly easier with two potions or smoothies on hand: one to give you Electricity Proof, and one to restore your Energy for Swordfighter Form.

After entering the boss room, you will see the giant Jellyfish boss surrounded by five smaller jellyfish. At regular intervals the boss will charge the extraneous Jellyfish to deal electricity damage to anything touching them. Not all of them are lit up at once, though, so pay attention to the boss' pattern and only attack non-electrified jellyfish until just the big one remains.

Once all the extra Jellyfish are dead, enable Swordfighter Form and damage the Barinade boss directly. Depending on your Sword upgrade level, it might only take a few hits to progress to the next phase.

You can also use the Ball-and-Chain Trooper to quickly deal lots of damage with its flail, but this Echo will be quickly killed by electricity jellyfish when they spawn.

Watch for the boss' recovery animation and get away as it charges electricity and summons more small jellyfish, a total of eight this time. Following the same strategy as before, take an Electricity Proof smoothie or potion, then attack the Jellyfish that are not electrified one by one until all are defeated. Enable Swordfighter Form once again, take another Electricity Proof smoothie or potion, and slash at the Barinade boss when it is exposed.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Secret Chief Talks Quest Guide

After completing the Jabul Waters main quest, the Secret Chief Talks Echoes of Wisdom side quest unlocks to the south.

The Barinade will continue to summon more small jellyfish to its side if the boss fight continues, but it won't exceed eight at one time. If your Swordfighter Form level is high enough, you will only need to expose and slash at the Barinade twice, but most players will find it takes three or even four phases to down this surprisingly tough boss.

The Zappy Shipwreck Quest Reward

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Zappy Shipwreck Quest Walkthrough Rewards

When you finally defeat the Barinade boss, it will drop a bunch of Rupees as well as a Heart Piece. Pick up this Heart Piece, then fast travel back to Seesyde Village to complete the Zappy Shipwreck quest. Talk to the old man again, and he will reward Zelda with a Fairy Bottle.

Fairy Bottles work a little bit differently than in previous Zelda games. In Echoes of Wisdom, Fairies will automatically jump into any empty bottles you have. If Zelda's Hearts reaches 0, a Fairy will automatically activate and refill her Heart meter.
