Towards the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda's hood is always up because events have forced her to stick to the shadows and not let anyone know her identity. But in promotional art for the game and in trailers, we can clearly see that the Zelda model being used does not have her hood up on the default Disguise outfit.

How to Summon More Echoes In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

To summon more Echoes in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you'll have to increase your max summons and level up Tri.

About halfway through the game, after reaching a certain milestone, Zelda finally reveals her identity and takes off her hood, no longer fearing that her "father" the King of Hyrule will execute her for supposedly creating the Rifts. The hood will not stay down permanently, and it takes a bit of time to get to this point. But there are alternative costumes available that let you take off Zelda's hood in Echoes of Wisdom, some of which can only be accessed after she reveals her Disguise.

How To Remove Zelda's Hood in Echoes of Wisdom

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Remove Zelda Hood Hyrule Castle King-6

To remove Zelda's hood, Echoes of Wisdom players have to reinstate the kingdom's trust in her as their princess – our titular heroine is on the run, after all, which is why she is wearing the hood in the first place. But the only way to do that is to rid Hyrule of its impostor King, because then Zelda will be able to prove her innocence and won't have to hide her identity anymore.

The only way to take off Zelda's hood in Echoes of Wisdom is to complete the Hyrule Castle dungeon, which is the fourth of the major dungeons in Echoes of Wisdom.

You must complete the Suthorn Ruins dungeon at the start of the game, then continue to both Gerudo Desert and Jabul Waters for the dungeons in each of these areas, before you can access Hyrule Castle.

There are three major Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo rewards you can unlock as well as the chance to get Smoothie and Monster materials.

After beating the Hyrule Castle dungeon, and sealing away the Rift that set off her banishment, Zelda will pull down her hood and reveal her identity.

People will now recognize Zelda instantly, too, changing some of the dialogue throughout the game.

Other Zelda Customizations Unlock At The Same Point

After Zelda gets back to her bedroom (and after learning the very-high-Heart-restoring Zelda's Bed echo), she will climb out of bed and be summoned to the King once more. Here, you will unlock the Royal Travel Attire, an ancient vestment befitting the heroic priestess of legend. This costume is more regal and gives Zelda a ponytail that whips around when she spins.

While you remain in the castle, before going to the next cutscene, Zelda's hood will remain down on the default Disguise outfit. However, when you are forced to change into the Royal Travel Attire the Disguise goes back to its Hood Up mode.

There isn't a way to permanently remove Zelda's hood with this costume, but you can equip other costumes after reaching this point that do not have a hood at all.

You can also unlock three unique Amiibo costumes in Echoes of Wisdom after reaching this point. Before beating Hyrule Castle, Amiibo will only reward Smoothie and Monster materials. Afterward, different Zelda Amiibo can reward the Red Tunic, Blue Attire, and Black Cat Costume.

Though there are a handful of costumes that you can unlock without finishing Hyrule Castle, the majority of them are locked behind progressing here and unlocking the rest of the game world up for exploration.
