After you complete the "Still Missing" story quest in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you'll continue your journey. Much like Gerudo Desert and Jabul Waters, you get to choose where to go next. Your mission is to seek out the Prime Energy. You'll need to visit Eldin Volcano, Hebra Mountain (Lanayru), and Faron Wetlands. While you can choose where to go next in Echoes of Wisdom, you may want to start with the "easier" dungeon to obtain your first Sanction.

Whether you tackle Gerudo Desert or Jabul Waters first, both Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom areas are necessary to progress.

Best Dungeon Order in Echoes of Wisdom

Eldin, Faron, Lanayru

It's recommended you start with Eldin and end with Lanayru. The main reason is that you can unlock the Bombs for Swordfighter Mode, which can make you less-reliant on the Bombfish Echo. Eldin's volcano dungeon has less-complicated puzzles than Lanayru and Faron.

Eldin

While not overly simple, you may find the Eldin rift boss easier than Faron's and Lanayru's. Before entering the Eldin rift, you'll come across various enemies that will be helpful to you in the last dungeons. Some useful Echoes you'll find in Eldin:

  • There's the Lizalfos Lv. 2 and the Twelus. Lizalfos are fast, which makes them perfect for fighting equally-swift enemies. Tweelus are stone creatures (like the Stone Talus enemies in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom) that are good to have if you need a hard-hitting Echo with sturdier defense.
  • There's also the Fire Keese, which will come in handy when you get to the rift in Lanayru.
  • Finally, the Fire Wizzrobe is the easiest of the three Wizzrobes you can get. It can burn Zelda, but burn effects are much easier to shake off than shock and freeze. Wizzrobes are great to have for the latter half of Echoes of Wisdom.

Faron

Faron Wetlands should be next. This region is full of monsters that use electric to shock their prey. There's more to do in Scrubton than there was in Goron City, since you need a membership card to access the area with the Faron rift. In the Stilled Faron Wetlands, you're going to need Fire Echoes to burn away webs and light torches throughout the dungeon. If you did the Eldin region first, then you should have no shortage of Fire Echoes. Otherwise, you'll have to rely on the Ignizol that you most likely picked up at the beginning of your playthrough. Some Echoes in Faron Wetlands you may find of interest are:

  • Electric Wizzrobe, who you can find south of the ruins where you fight Smog for the second time.
  • Electric Keese are the same as Fire Keese, only they will temporarily paralyze the target rather than burn them.
  • You can also get the Level 3 Darknut in a cave east of Scrubton. Darknut Level 3 is one of the most powerful Echoes you can get in the game, but it costs 5 triangles to use it.

Stilled Faron Wetlands Walkthrough - Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The Stilled Faron Wetlands will lead Zelda to the next major dungeon of Echoes of Wisdom.

Lanayru

zelda echoes of wisdom hebra mountain

Lanayru is the last region you should do thanks to its climate. You'll need to climb Hebra Mountain, and the first half of the region has freezing weather that will chip away at Zelda's health if she doesn't have cold protection. You'll need to drink a warm smoothie, which you can make with two Hot Peppers.

You can also make a Warm Mixed Special by combining a Hot Pepper with Refreshing Grapes or Fresh Milk.

You can brave the cold winds of Hebra Mountain, but make sure you have plenty of hearts and full health. The Stilled Hebra Mountain requires a lot of jumping and climbing to reach the dungeon area. The dungeon itself is full of more complicated puzzles than the last two regions, and it helps to have an Echo like Fire Wizzrobe when fighting the Hebra Mountain boss. Here are some Echoes you can learn in the Lanayru region:

  • Ice Wizzrobe completes the trinity of Wizzrobes, and it fires a wave of ice that can freeze your opponent. It's highly recommended you have this Echo or the Ice Keese when fighting the Stilled Hebra Mountain miniboss.
  • As you climb the mountains, you'll reach a cave with Temper Tweelus, which may come in handy in the Hebra rift.
  • Moa is a flying eyeball monster that shoots lasers much like the Beamos. Being able to attack from a distance and fly means they can be potentially more useful than Echoes like the Crows or Keese, as they don't have to physically touch their opponent to deal damage.
