The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild contains so many collectibles that it can be difficult to keep them all straight. From fish to honey to meat, mushrooms, plants, flowers, and monster parts, there are tons of things players will want and need to collect during their journey through Hyrule.
Some items, like Hylian Shrooms, are everywhere and easy to find. Other items, like Silent Princess Flowers and Goron Spice, can be almost impossible to find unless players know exactly where to look. Goron Spice, unlike most things on the map, can only really be found in one location.
What is Goron Spice Used for in Breath of the Wild?
Goron Spice is one of the many ingredients for recipes in Breath of the Wild. It can be used in a variety of dishes, but none of them are given special properties by the spice itself. These include but are not limited to foods like curry dishes and stir-fries. Here is a complete list of recipes made with the Goron Spice item.

It can also be added to other cooked dishes in Breath of the Wild without adding any benefits without turning it into Dubious Food, including dishes like Electro Simmered Fruit, Spicy Simmered Fruit, and more.
One of the most important things that Goron Spice is used for, however, is to complete a side quest. When players reach Rito Stable near the Rito's home village, they can find an NPC there named Lester; he is usually sitting by the fire during the day. He asks Link to help him get some Goron Spice to make his favorite dish: Curry Rice.
To complete the quest, players just have to bring him one of these spices, and he'll give Link 50 Rupees for his trouble. If players bring him more after that, Lester will trade each Goron Spice for Hylian Rice.
Where to Get Goron Spice in Breath of the Wild
There is only really one place to get Goron Spice in Hylia; players cannot make it and cannot find it out in the wild. It has to be purchased from a vendor. There are two total vendors that can sell Goron Spice, but only one is guaranteed to have it every time. This is the item shop in Goron City.
Players can purchase up to three of these at a time for 12 Rupees each. Theu respawn every in-game midnight just so long as Link is not anywhere near the city at the time of respawn.
While some Breath of the Wild players have found that a wandering merchant named Yammo - who wanders the area around the Great Tabantha Bridge - has it, it seems she only carries it on occasion.
