Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has added one of the most powerful decks from the game's physical formats, but players looking to pick up the deck will need to spend a pretty penny. The massively popular digital card game from Konami has introduced plenty of popular new decks to the game throughout recent updates. Recent selection packs have brought the dominant "Yubel" and "Centur-ion" decks to the game, while also improving pre-existing strategies like "Fire King" and "Sky Striker." However, the newest update to the game brings one of its strongest decks yet.
The "Tenpai Dragon" deck was an immediate powerhouse following its initial addition to the physical Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The strategy featured a unique focus on the Battle Phase that was unlike many other decks, giving it the ability to perform its combos during the combat-focused step and allowing players to easily assemble one-turn kills. The deck even saw one of its core cards limited in the TCG's most recent banlist update, with "Sangen Summoning" set to one copy per deck. Now, Tenpai Dragon is making its Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel debut with a high price tag.

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel debuts a new limited-time Duel Trial event, tasking players with using special decks based on the recent World Championships.
Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel officially launched its newest Selection Pack, "Outlaws from the Inferno," earlier this week, introducing the Tenpai Dragon cards and plenty more to the game. Master Duel players looking to pick up the deck will need to spend plenty to build Tenpai Dragon, however, with five different cards set at "UR" rarity. "Tenpai Dragon Paidra," "Tenpai Dragon Chundra," and "Tenpai Dragon Genroku" all join the game as UR-rarity Main Deck monsters, alongside Quick-Play Spell "Sangen Kaimen" and Synchro Monster "Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion." The deck's Field Spell, "Sangen Summoning," was also semi-limited on release.

While Tenpai Dragon occupies the majority of the UR spots in the Selection Pack, Master Duel is adding other new archetypes as well. "Outlaws from the Inferno" introduces the "Goblin Biker" cards to the game as an Xyz Monster-focused archetype, with gameplay centered around detaching materials from other Monsters. The Selection Pack also includes new support for several classic archetypes, with new "Ritual Beast" and "Infernoid" cards joining the game with the update. As with other Selection Packs, the new Master Duel set includes several "reprints" of older cards as well.
Tenpai Dragon's steep cost of entry in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel comes as the deck is expected to make a major splash within the digital card game. Tenpai Dragon's aggressive Battle Phase-centric gameplay has already seen the deck become a major meta threat in the physical game, currently seen as the second-best deck in the TCG. Tenpai Dragon is also expected to uniquely thrive in Master Duel's "best-of-1" environment, with decks more easily able to secure surprise wins. For players willing to sink the cost, Tenpai Dragon should be a dominant force in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel's meta.
