As part of a recent interview, YouTuber Dream offered up some less than complimentary thoughts regarding Adin Ross and the streaming platform Kick. Dream may be known for creating kid-friendly Minecraft content on YouTube, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have broader opinions on streaming platforms like Twitch and Kick. A question in a recent fun, if also provocative interview gave Dream an opportunity to share some of those thoughts out loud.Kick, for those unfamiliar, is a competitive streaming service trying to persuade major Twitch streamers to try something new. While it offers lucrative financial contracts with a significantly higher revenue split for the streamer, it's burdened by major controversies and an overall negative reputation. Kick's association with online gambling and cryptocurrency, as well as its lack of moderation regarding bigotry and harassment, have made the streaming platform a haven for pariahs and somewhere to avoid for most others.RELATED: Kick Signs Yet Another Prominent Twitch Streamer In a recent episode of the YouTube show BFFs, with Dave Portnoy, Josh Richards, and Brianna Chickenfry, Dream was asked to "Start, Bench, and Cut" from a list of content creators including xQc, Adin Ross, and Kai Cenat. While initially confused about the question, Dream ultimately clarifies that he'd cut Adin Ross. He's not initially sure whether to start or bench XQC or Kai Cenat, but cutting Adin Ross is a pick that Dream is more than confident in making. He ultimately chooses XQC to start.

When asked why he decided to cut Adin Ross, Dream tries to avoid explaining his decision in more detail. At first, he just implies that everyone likely already understands why he'd cut Adin Ross. The BFF hosts agree, noting Ross is in a "major controversy every two seconds." Afterward, Dream does go as far as saying Ross is the "only reason why Kick is not kicking Twitch's ass." In other words, Ross makes Kick less attractive to Twitch streamers who might consider moving to the platform.

While Dream is very likely exaggerating, he's not wrong in saying that Ross is a controversial figure and likely contributes to Kick's negative reputation. Ross was frequently banned from Twitch while he was still on the platform. The reasons why were diverse, but his permanent ban was described by Twitch itself as "hateful slurs or symbols." Since Ross moved to Kick, he's been embroiled in controversies regarding hateful comments toward LGBT individuals.

Dream's comments are unlikely to create much controversy, outside of Ross' own community of fans. But it does offer some insight into how major content creators on both YouTube and Twitch may view Kick as an alternative platform. Kick may be the perfect home for Adin Ross, but that decision may cost the platform the support of other major Twitch and YouTube streamers.
