As stated above, the cornerstone to evolving your Yaolings will be to level them up. This will occur simply by making your way through the game. You will have plenty of wild Yaolings to fight, as well as Yaoling Keepers. Defeating these enemies will award you with experience that will level up your Yaolings. Yaolings will evolve at different levels, so not all of them will be ready to undergo this mechanic as soon as others, and some will not evolve at all. Once a Yaoling has enough experience, it will show an Evolve button for you to select.

How To Get Demons In Yaoling: Mythical Journey
Players will face off against numerous Demon Lords and other Demons throughout their playthrough, but these Demons cannot be captured and added to a player's party. They serve as challenging bosses and are not meant to be an easy way to add a strong member to your party. In order to get these defeated Demons as members of your team, you will need to reach a specific level with a specific Yaoling.
This will come in the form of a mechanic that gives you a branching choice of evolution, where you can select to evolve your Yaoling into its Demon form. Demons are required to complete your Yaoling Scroll, so capturing multiples of the same Yaoling will be required. If you want to get your hands on a specific Demon that you encountered in the past, open up your Yaoling scroll, find the Demon in question, and then you will see the Yaoling evolution tree above it.
