How to Parry & Use Critical Attacks in Yakuza Kiwami 3
What Are Critical Attacks?
Critical Attacks is the Yakuza Kiwami 3 term for a parry, in which players are able to perform a perfect Quickstep/Guard Attack. Both the Dragon of Dojima Style and the Ryukyu Style have a unique method of parrying, which we'll detail below:
- Dragon of Dojima Parry — To parry in the Dragon of Dojima stance, you must perform a Perfect Quickstep. This is achieved by using R1 + X right when an enemy strikes, followed by an immediate press of Square/Triangle. This is known as a Quickstep Attack.
- Ryukyu Style Parry — To parry in the Ryukyu Style stance, you must perform a Perfect Guard. This is achieved by tapping L1 right when an enemy attacks, followed by a quick press of Square/Triangle. This is known as a Perfect Guard Attack.
The Dragon of Dojima stance cannot perform a Perfect Guard, and the Ryukyu Style cannot perform a Perfect Quickstep.
