Sidequests in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition are split into several categories and each one has its own difficulty. When you're just starting out, you should focus on the sidequests in the "green," but as you progress through the main story, you can start taking on the more difficult tasks.
"Marry Me!" Is labeled as a difficult quest in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. You'll need to gather x10 Natural Pearls, but you'll notice they can't be marked on the map. Obtaining them is easier than you think.

Marry Me! Quest
How to Unlock
"Marry Me!" Unlocks after you complete Chapter 3. You can accept it from the job board. The description and objective are:
I want to give my love a natural pearl, but they're so rare, no one in New LA sells them. Please help.
- Gather 10 natural pearls.
You'll notice the difficulty of "Marry Me!" Is higher than the other quests this early in the game. Because of this, it's recommended you save the "Marry Me!" Quest after completing Chapter 5. You also need to be level 21.
While completing "Marry Me!" Is as easy as talking to someone, it will also throw you into an Affinity Mission. Remember that when an Affinity Mission is accepted, you won't be able to accept other Affinity Missions or the Story Mission until you complete it.
If, for some reason, "Marry Me!" Doesn't appear on the task board, exit out of the task acceptance menu, then go back in. Keep refreshing until you see it.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - Myles to Go Walkthrough
Here's how to complete the Myles to Go Normal Mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
Where to Find Natural Pearls
Hope Springs Eternal
If you try searching for the natural pearls outside of NLA, you're not going to find them. Instead, you need to warp to the Cathedral in the Residential District. At the front of the cathedral, you'll see a small crowd surrounding a woman named Hope. Hope is one of your party members in Xenoblade Chronicles: X, and like Irina, her Class is Psycorruptor+.
- Approach and interact with the Affinity Mission marker nearby, and accept "Hope Springs Eternal." Then, you'll be thrown into a cutscene.
- When Hope speaks to you, choose "Confess" (Tell Hope you're struggling to find 10 natural pearls). She will then give you a pearl necklace, which is used in place of the 10 natural pearls for the quest.
- Offer to help Hope when the Nopon Lularita asks for help with the Drongo Caravan in Cauldros.
Starting "Hope Springs Eternal" will automatically complete the "Marry Me!" Quest.
If you're not level 21 and if you have not accepted "Marry Me!" Quest, you won't be able to start this Affinity Mission.
To complete "Hope Springs Eternal," you need to travel north. This will take you from Primordia to Sylvalum, and finally Sylvalum to Cauldros. While you can complete "Hope Springs Eternal" at level 21, you won't be able to fight the monsters between Primordia and Cauldros unless you're 10 levels higher than the Affinity Missoin's prerequisite.
Getting to Cauldros can be very dangerous, so here are some pointers:
- The stretch of land (between Primordia and Sylvalum is filled with level mid-30 enemies that will attack on sight, so you should swim around them to Seabird's Beak (the southwestern shore of Sylvalum).
- In Sylvalvum, you can use the Nopon Follow Ball to guide you. Check your map and try to activate FN Sites along the way. While most enemies won't attack on sight, you'll find more aggressive beasts in the northern half of Sylvalum (ex: South Silent Sandsea, Anvil Sandplain).
- In Cauldros, activate any nearby FN Sites and follow the Follow Ball to the Drongo Caravan. From there, it's a matter of defeating five mold caro at the Scholes Battlegrounds.
It's likely you will be attacked by a high-level enemy on your way to Cauldros in "Hope Springs Eternal." If this happens, sprint (pressing down on the left analog stick) until you're out of range.
