The free-to-play shooter XDefiant has seen quite a lot of players try it out and hit the Ranked Ladder. The game not only tests players' aiming accuracy, but also how strategic they can be with the use of their abilities. With the inclusion of crossplay, gamers can invite their friends from different consoles and play together.

The Liberated Faction in XDefiant are the freedom fighters from Far Cry 6. They are the only faction in the game that can provide constant healing to allies around them through their passive and active abilities. The guide below details how their abilities work, and how players can use them in optimal scenarios.

XDefiant: How to Get and Use XP Boosters

XDefiant gamers can unlock new attachments and skins for their weapons faster if they use boosters --here's how it works.

How To Heal Allies In XDefiant

To heal your allies in XDefiant, you will need to get into an Unranked or Ranked match through matchmaking. After getting into the match and choosing your Loadout, you will need to select the Liberated Faction. Both of this faction's active abilities can heal your allies, so picking one depends purely on the game mode and situation you find yourself in.

BioVida Boost

The first ability is the BioVida Boost, which has a small radius around you and lasts for 10 seconds. This can be used on the move, providing healing per second, which helps you in the next gunfight. The cooldown on this ability is 35 seconds.

El Remedio

The second Active ability is El Remedio, which is a canister that you can throw on the ground. This canister constantly heals anyone inside the area until you cancel it or the enemy destroys it. It has a 25-second duration and a 35-second cooldown before you can use it again. This ability is extremely useful when taking control of Zones with your allies or protecting a Zone in Occupy or Zone Control.

Deciding which ability is better comes down to personal preference. Both of these abilities can be useful in different situations because the output healing is quite high and can give you the edge over your enemies in battle.

Completing the Reward Challenges

There are multiple Base Challenges in the game that unlock Faction characters as well as Weapons. Two of these challenges are related to the healing done to allies via BioVida Boost and El Remedio. Once you complete these objectives, you will acquire Beto from the BioVida Boost healing and Seleste from El Remedio healing. These faction characters do not affect the gameplay in any way, as they are purely for cosmetic purposes.
