Originally revealed in June during the Xbox Games Showcase, the incoming Xbox consoles will all arrive ahead of a busy holiday season. According to Xbox, the incoming Xbox Series S and all-digital Xbox Series X consoles will include a Robot White console and controller, and a 1TB SSD each. The Xbox Series S will have a starting price of $349.99, and the Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition will cost $100 more, starting at $449. However, Xbox players looking for the most built-in storage of any console on the market will have the Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition to consider. The unit will have a $599.99 price tag but include a special constellation effect on both the console and the controller. Of the three upcoming consoles, the 2TB Xbox Series X is the only one with a disc drive.

Three New Xbox Series X/S Consoles Launching This October

  • Xbox confirms three Series X and Series S consoles will launch on October 15.
  • Some markets will instead see the new consoles released on October 29.
  • Two Robot White consoles and a special Galaxy Black Xbox Series X are among the new offers.
  • Preorders for each upcoming Xbox console started on August 21.

Each of the aforementioned Xbox consoles will initially launch on October 15, with select markets launching two weeks later on October 29. However, fans looking for an Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage still have another option available. The Carbon Black 1TB Xbox Series S will be discontinued in favor of the Robot White 1TB model, but Microsoft confirmed that the outgoing model will still be around while supplies last.

Between the anticipated game releases and continued support for Xbox Game Pass, the Xbox Series X and Series S are among the top gaming consoles available. How well these new Xbox consoles will fare remains to be seen.
