Summary
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now stream more of their own games via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
- New additions to the program include popular titles like Mortal Kombat X, Sleeping Dogs, and Life is Strange.
- Some games may not be best suited for cloud gaming due to latency issues, but slower-paced titles work well.
A number of games have been added to Xbox Game Pass' new "Stream Your Own Game" program, including Mortal Kombat X, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, several Life is Strange entries, and more. The program is available to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass' Ultimate tier, and allows gamers to stream select games they own via Xbox Cloud Gaming on devices like TVs, tablets, and phones.
Xbox Cloud Gaming's Stream Your Own Game feature kicked off earlier this year and already offers a myriad of big titles available for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream. Atomic Heart, Cult of the Lamb, Hotline Miami, and Neva were among the earlier titles to be added to the new program. May's batch of additions featured Ubisoft's 2016 snow sports extravaganza Steep, as well as Predator: Hunting Grounds. While last month's list of additions was quite small, Xbox's Stream Your Own Game library is already loaded with massive titles like both Kingdom Come: Deliverance games, Mortal Kombat 1, Cyberpunk 2077, and several of the latest Ubisoft releases.
Steam Deck: How To Use Xbox Cloud Gaming
The Steam Deck can run Xbox Cloud, but it takes some effort to make it work; here's how to set it up.
Now, with June underway, Xbox has unveiled the latest batch of titles it's adding to the Stream Your Own Game program. The batch consists of 22 games in total, some of which are considered some of the Xbox One generation's biggest hits, like Tom Clancy's The Division, Mortal Kombat X, and Mad Max. The Life is Strange franchise has a massive presence on this list of additions as well, with the original two games, the Before the Storm prequel, and Life is Strange: True Colors all being added to the program.

Some other highlights of this list of new Stream Your Own Game titles include the beloved Grand Theft Auto-like Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, Just Cause 4, LEGO DC Super-Villains, and Dune: Spice Wars. Some of these games aren't as well-suited for cloud gaming as others, though. Mortal Kombat X, Just Dance, and even Tom Clancy's The Division are games that can often require precise timing, and cloud gaming's lingering latency issues could cause problems for gamers hoping for a buttery-smooth experience with these games. That said, most of the games on this list, like the Life is Strange titles, LEGO DC Super-Villains, and Dune: Spice Wars, feature slower gameplay where cloud latency is less likely to cause issues.
With two new Stream You Own Games batches having gone live on May 1 and June 2 respectively, it seems that a pattern may be forming where new games are revealed at the beginning of each month. If this pattern were to continue, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers may be able to look forward to the next additions in the opening days of July. In the meantime, though, Xbox fans have the June 8 showcase to be excited about, which promises new looks at upcoming first-party Xbox and Game Pass games with a 30-minute The Outer Worlds 2 direct to follow.
