Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are soon getting another freebie in the form of Episode Aigis - The Answer DLC for Persona 3 Reload. While the add-on itself is scheduled to release on September 10, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have been able to claim it for a while now.
Persona 3 Reload was a day-one Xbox Game Pass release that reached Microsoft's subscription service on February 2. Shortly following its debut, developer Atlus announced an Expansion Pass for the game, whose first wave of content launched in March 2024, introducing two background music sets. Another BGM set and some Velvet Room costumes debuted two months later. This post-release content roadmap will conclude with Episode Aigis - The Answer, a remake of the epilogue chapter from Persona 3: FES for the PS2.
Episode Aigis Coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on September 10
The DLC chapter is scheduled to be released on September 10. That said, Persona 3 Reload's Expansion Pass has been available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members since March 2024. Those who still haven't claimed it can hence do so right now via the Perks section of the Xbox Game Pass app or the Xbox PC app.
XGP Ultimate Version of Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass Is Free to Keep Forever
Taking advantage of this offer will tie the game's Expansion Pass to one's Xbox account. The DLC content, including Episode Aigis, is hence free to keep forever rather than being tied to a subscription. This makes the Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass one of the more generous Xbox Game Pass Ultimate freebies in recent memory.
Of course, even if the DLC content is tied to one's account forever, the Xbox Game Pass version of Persona 3 Reload is not. But the way this offer is implemented means it's possible to pick up a month of XGP Ultimate and then downgrade to a cheaper tier in order to keep playing the game with its DLC for as long as it's available on the service. Alternatively, Persona 3 Reload can currently be purchased at 35% off from the Microsoft / Xbox Store. This discount brings it down to $45.49, which is its lowest-ever price on the storefront. The offer itself is available until August 27, and happens to coincide with a massive Persona franchise sale that Sega is currently running on Steam.
While the previously introduced Persona 3 Reload DLC was purely cosmetic, Episode Aigis promises to add more playable content to the game. But the epilogue chapter is expected to simplify the RPG's gameplay loop by removing its time management and socializing aspects, meaning dungeon crawling and cutscenes will essentially be all that's left.
