Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has added Super Fantasy Kingdom to its ever-changing library. This is the platform's 64th new arrival in October 2025, as well as the 186th new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release since the start of the year.
Developed by Super Fantasy Games and published by the indie strategy game specialists at Hooded Horse, Super Fantasy Kingdom is a chaotic title with 16-bit-inspired graphics and a plethora of genres it draws from. While a roguelike at heart, its gameplay loop also incorporates elements of city builders and tower defense titles. Players are tasked with rebuilding their homeland while fending off endless hordes of monsters that pile up at the gates as soon as the sun sets. The roguelike—or, more specifically, roguelite—design philosophy is reflected in the game's procedurally generated maps and bonuses, as well as meta progression elements that guarantee every subsequent run is easier than the one before.

Super Fantasy Kingdom Reaches PC and Ultimate Tiers of Xbox Game Pass
Super Fantasy Kingdom is available to select Xbox Game Pass subscribers beginning today, October 24. Like any other day-one release, the city-builder roguelike is only accessible via the PC and Ultimate tiers of the service. Super Fantasy Kingdom is the first early access title to reach Microsoft's subscription catalog since Endless Legend 2 was added to Xbox Game Pass in late September 2025.
As is often the case with Game Preview releases, Xbox Game Pass members can currently only play Super Fantasy Kingdom on PC. Console users cannot access the title even through Xbox Cloud Gaming—likely because the streaming platform's infrastructure is based on custom Series X hardware, while Super Fantasy Kingdom is currently limited to Windows desktops and handhelds. Microsoft's recent comments about its future release cadence suggest that Super Fantasy Kingdom will make its way to the recently launched Xbox Game Pass Premium library between April and October 2026.
Only two more titles are set to reach the popular subscription service before the end of the month. Halls of Torment is coming to all non-Essential tiers of Xbox Game Pass on October 28, followed by the day-one release of The Outer Worlds 2 on the 29th.

Separately, October 31 will see the Xbox Game Pass catalog lose three titles: Jusant, Metal Slug Tactics, and Return to Monkey Island. The next wave of arrivals and departures is expected to be officially announced circa November 4.
