Co-Op Survival Game Coming to Xbox Game Pass on November 7

The 1.0 version of Voidtrain has received a release date, with HypeTrain Digital committing to launching it on November 7. The upcoming title will be a day-one Xbox Game Pass release.

Voidtrain is a co-op survival crafting game with robust base-building mechanics and a distinctive twist: the base goes wherever the players do. Its title is derived from an interdimensional express traveling through a hostile open world known as The Void. Up to four players are tasked with exploring a wide variety of environments, gathering resources, crafting and customizing their equipment, and clearing enemy outposts and arenas alike, among other activities.

Voidtrain Gets a November Release Date and New Gameplay Trailer

Two and a half years following Voidtrain's early access launch, the full-fledged version of the game has now received a release date: November 7. The 1.0 build incorporates Chapter 3, concluding the main story. Some new characters will be introduced in this final stretch of the narrative, with HypeTrain Digital promising to deliver a meaningful and "emotional finale."

Voidtrain Seemingly Skipping PlayStation at Launch

Voidtrain's release date was announced with a new gameplay trailer that debuted during IGN Fan Fest 2025: Fall Edition. The video ends with a list of target platforms, notably omitting the PS5—despite the game having been previously confirmed for Sony's current-gen console and already having an official PS Store page. HypeTrain Digital did not comment on the apparent decision to skip PlayStation at launch. In past years, Microsoft would occasionally incentivize staggered releases of this sort through timed exclusivity deals. However, with even first-party Xbox games now arriving on rival platforms, that scenario seems unlikely. A more probable explanation is that the PS5 version of Voidtrain simply requires additional development time.

What Early Access Players Are Saying About Voidtrain

Apart from PC Game Pass and the Microsoft Store, the PC build of Voidtrain will be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Since its early access debut, the open-world survival crafting game has amassed over 3,000 "Mostly Positive" English-language reviews on Valve's storefront. Its recent user impressions are even better, with Steam labeling them as "Very Positive." Looking at the actual contents of these reviews, hundreds of fans praised Voidtrain's extensive bartering system and content variety as some of its standout qualities, concluding that the $29.99 game offers great value for money. Conversely, the less numerous negative reviews criticize writing quality and inventory management.

Voidtrain is the sixth confirmed Xbox Game Pass release for November 2025. The full Wave 1 lineup for next month is likely to be announced on or around November 4, based on Microsoft's typical communication cadence.
