2025 is almost halfway done, and it feels safe to say that this year might end up being one of the best in Xbox Game Pass' long history. 2025 has already brought first-party titles like Doom: The Dark Ages, Avowed, and South of Midnight to Xbox Game Pass, as well as major third-party day-one releases like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Blue Prince, two of the highest-rated games of the year.
It doesn't look like this hot streak is cooling down anytime soon. Xbox Game Pass is closing out May with a bang, with it adding 2024 Game of the Year contender Metaphor: ReFantazio to its library in a few days. Game Pass' June 2025 line-up is also looking quite strong already, with The Alters, FBC: Firebreak, Rematch, and five other titles already confirmed. That said, there's still plenty of room for a few more titles to join the Game Pass ranks in June.
The Best Games On Xbox Game Pass (January 2026)
Xbox Game Pass is unquestionably worth the subscription fee, but which of the available games are the best use of your hard drive space?
Xbox Game Pass Wish List for June 2025: Gex Trilogy
Release Date: June 16, 2025
Set for release on June 16, the Gex Trilogy brings together all three of the charismatic gecko's 1990s platformers. All originally developed by Crystal Dynamics, the Gex Trilogy includes the 1995 2D platformer that started it all, and the two 3D platformers that kept the franchise going until 1999. This collection is powered by the Carbon Engine and brings a swathe of improvements to the cult classics, including new camera controls for the 3D entries. The Gex Trilogy may not be the biggest release of June 2025, but it'd be a great addition to the Xbox Game Pass library.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for June 2025: Death Stranding
Release Date: Available Now
Originally released all the way back in November 2019, Death Stranding was the first game Hideo Kojima released following his split with Konami a few years prior. Though Death Stranding received somewhat of a mixed reception at launch due to its slower-paced gameplay, it's widely regarded now as one of Kojima's best works, and as of November 2024, Xbox players were finally able to experience it for themselves.
While Xbox players won't be able to play Death Stranding 2: On the Beach when it releases next month, it'd still be great to see the first game come to Xbox Game Pass in June.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for June 2025: Red Dead Redemption 2
Release Date: Available Now
Rockstar's current magnum opus, Red Dead Redemption 2's reputation has only grown more impressive with age. The hard-hitting tale of an outlaw struggling to adapt to a fast-changing world continues to be just as timely and engaging almost seven years after Red Dead 2's initial release, and it's one that every gamer should experience at least once. Though Red Dead Redemption 2 has appeared on Xbox Game Pass a few times over the last five years, it's been a while since it was last added to the service, and it'd be a strong addition next month.

Xbox Game Pass Wish List for June 2025: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (Classic)
Release Date: Available Now
Xbox Game Pass has just added over 50 classic Activision titles to the subscription service under a new section titled the "Retro Classics" collection. This collection includes a wealth of renowned titles from the 1980s and 90s, such as Pitfall, MechWarrior, and Dragster, among many others. Xbox has also stated that this is "just the beginning" of its "commitment to game preservation and backwards compatibility."
Hopefully, this means that more classic Activision titles are on their way to Xbox Game Pass in the near future. It'd be great to see some PS1-era classics like the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games come to Game Pass, especially with Pro Skater 3+4 coming in July.
