The latest update to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service gives subscribers access to two new games that both have "Very Positive" reviews on Steam. This past week has been an extremely busy one for Xbox Game Pass with new games added every day since Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Microsoft added three games to Xbox Game Pass: Techtonica, The Cave, and Toem. That same day, Microsoft confirmed what else fans can expect from Xbox Game Pass for the second half of July 2023. This included Maquette, which was added on July 19, as well as the two games that were added to Xbox Game Pass as part of its latest update.
As of July 20, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out Figment 2: Creed Valley and The Wandering Village. Both games can be played on any Game Pass compatible platform, meaning they're available through the cloud, Xbox consoles, and PC. Not only that, but both Figment 2: Creed Valley and The Wandering Village have "Very Positive" user ratings on Steam. The professional reviews for Figment 2 are less kind and The Wandering Village doesn't have much in the way of professional reviews at all, but the "Very Positive" overall rating is an encouraging sign that Game Pass subscribers will likely enjoy these two games.
Xbox Game Pass Games Coming Soon
- Figment 2: Creed Valley - Available Now
- The Wandering Village - Available Now
- Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem - July 25
- Venba - July 31
- Celeste - August 1
For those curious about Figment 2: Creed Valley and The Wandering Village, they are two very different experiences. Figment 2 is an action-adventure game, whereas The Wandering Village is a city-building game that takes place on the back of a massive creature. Fans of either genre should be sure to check out both Figment 2 and The Wandering Village through Xbox Game Pass to see if either game lives up to their "Very Positive" ratings.
The thing about Xbox Game Pass is that even if one isn't thrilled with the latest offerings, there's always something new around the corner. Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem is coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 25, while day one game Venba is joining the lineup on July 31. And while Microsoft has yet to fully pull the curtain back on the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in August, it has confirmed that the award-winning indie platformer Celeste will be making its big comeback to the service on August 1.
