When it comes to Xbox Game Pass, not all days are equal. Unlike the Xbox free Games with Gold program, where subscribers are always treated to fresh games on the first and 16th of the month, new Xbox Game Pass releases are spread out. Some days will have one new Game Pass game added to the mix, while others could see multiple games added. Like usual, the new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2022 are spread out, though one day is standing out as a particularly big one for this month.
So far, Xbox Game Pass has added two games to the lineup. The first was added on June 1 in the form of For Honor: Marching Fire Edition, a more fully-featured version of For Honor that comes with a new faction and more. For Honor: Marching Fire Edition also makes For Honor available for PC Game Pass subscribers, whereas before only those on console were able to play the game.
Then on June 2, Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection was added to Xbox Game Pass. Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection was an especially exciting addition to the service because it's technically three games in one package. It includes Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, allowing Xbox Game Pass subscribers to experience the Ninja Gaiden reboot trilogy in its entirety.
New Xbox Game Pass Games for June 2022
- For Honor: Marching Fire Edition - June 1
- Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection - June 2
- Assassin's Creed Origins - June 7
- Chorus - June 7
- Disc Room - June 7
- Spacelines from the Far Out - June 7
- Shadowrun Trilogy - June 21
- Escape Academy - June 28
For Honor: Marching Fire Edition and Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection are appreciated additions to the Xbox Game Pass lineup, but so far it's looking like Tuesday, June 7 is going to be the biggest day for new Game Pass releases this month. At the time of this writing, four games are currently scheduled to join Xbox Game Pass on June 7, including the month's first brand-new, day one release, making it an especially exciting day for subscribers.
The headlining new Xbox Game Pass game for June 2022 is Assassin's Creed Origins. Marking yet another Ubisoft addition to the Game Pass lineup, Assassin's Creed Origins recently received a next-gen upgrade that improves its performance on newer consoles. This allows Assassin's Creed fans to relive Assassin's Creed Origins in 60 FPS, which is a huge improvement, to say the least. Assassin's Creed Origins is one of the better-reviewed Assassin's Creed games and provides dozens of hours of content, so it should keep Game Pass subscribers busy for some time.
Joining Assassin's Creed Origins on Xbox Game Pass come June 7 is Chorus. Chorus is an action-packed space combat game that first released last year to somewhat mixed reviews. The game earned praise of its gameplay, but critics weren't impressed with its story. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to try the game and come to their own conclusions regardless of their platform of choice, as it will be available on consoles, the cloud, and PC.
Also available to all Game Pass subscribers across consoles, the cloud, and PC is Disc Room. Disc Room is an arcade puzzle game where players have to do their best to avoid deadly saws. The game earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its original release, with praise for its addictive gameplay and high skill level. It should greatly appeal to Xbox Game Pass subscribers who are looking for an intense challenge, so anyone that fits the bill should make a note to give it a whirl come June 7.
And finally, Xbox Game Pass is also getting a brand-new, day one release on June 7 with Spacelines from the Far Out, available to those on consoles and PC. According to Xbox's description of the game, Spacelines from the Far Out is a co-op management game where players are able to unlock spaceships, upgrades, characters, and customizations, with roguelike elements thrown in for good measure.
Spacelines from the Far Out has a quirky sense of humor and looks like it might appeal to those who enjoy games like Overcooked or Moving Out. As a matter of face, Spacelines from the Far Out has 4-player co-op, and assuming it lives up to expectations, it should be a solid new local co-op game for Game Pass' growing library of co-op titles.
From Assassin's Creed Origins to Spacelines from the Far Out, June 7 is so far shaping up to be the biggest day for Xbox Game Pass in all of June. However, it's possible that the second half of the month could have an even bigger day. So far, only two titles are confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in the second half of June (Shadowrun Trilogy on June 21 and Escape Academy on June 28), but there will almost certainly be more revealed around the middle of the month.
Microsoft has also teased some Xbox Game Pass surprises for this month, possibly linked to the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase scheduled for June 12. Subscribers will just have to wait and see what happens, but in the meantime, they can mark June 7 on their calendars as the day they'll be treated to four new games.
